    Hello Michael. Love your C4. I am restoring my 87 C4 Z52 that I ordered from GM when I was 26 years old. Needless to say, I have touched every square in of her, and consider her My girl. She outlasted my first wife who owned her with me. Yes, I chose the Vette! She is going to be a modified show/bracket car. I've been racing her for years now. The old L98 350 was quite a powerhouse and ran over 225,000 miles before I retired her. Now, with a brand-new Blueprint Racing 427 L98 hybrid engine, and the old TH700R rebuilt, the Phoenix is rising from the Ashes! Keep the C4 family alive and well!

    I saw my 85' light blue metallic on the side of the road and instantly fell in love! I wasn't a corvette guy before, but once I saw the digital dash and the engine under the hood there was no way I was passing up on it.

    I bought my 84 c4 about 6 months ago. It was rough, been sitting since 09. Most people would have probably passed on it. But I love turning crap into something beautiful. It didn't take much at all to get it running and driving pretty good. I liked it when I bought it, now I love it. Really admire the details you did on yours. Great job.

    I'll be joining the Corvette family this Thursday as I'm picking up a 86 model...It's Canary yellow with black interior with 112,000 miles for $4500 which seems like a good price for me....Only downside is it's an automatic which I know most Vetts are but I'd still love to have manual one....Can't wait till I start my Corvette build journey

    There is an adhesive putty product I have been using for decades to affix small trim parts in a semi-permanent but removable manner. It is sold by a company called Parts Express, it is a speaker sealing caulk, their part# is 260-400, they used to sell it under a different number but I just looked at the item online and it looks like the same stuff in a different packaging. It is strips of black dum-dum putty, but unlike other similar compounds this stuff has excellent adhesive properties, much stickier than other sealing putty. I use it all over the interior to affix small items that have no easy way to be screwed on. I have some custom accessories in the dash of my truck where I made a small panel of ABS plastic to mount them, but there is no way to screw the panel down, so I stuck it on there with this putty and it holds, truck is 21 years old, been on there solid for decades. I have a couple of power window switches that had to come apart to change a burned out light bulb in them, and the doggone things are very hard to get apart without breaking the plastic clip that secures it. A dab of this putty fixes a busted switch button so nobody will ever know, and it does not come loose in the hot weather either. I have some on a sunroof switch that is overhead and it is holding against gravity. The putty does not harden and can be pulled apart if needed. It is black and any residue can be cleaned with mineral spirit paint thinner. It can obviously seal water and air leaks, it's weatherproof and has a million and one uses limited only by your own imagination. I keep a glob of it in the top drawer of my toolbox, any time I have a hard to reach fastener that needs to fished in and out on the end of an extension I put a dab in the socket to hold it in the socket. I have situations where a screw needs to be fished in on the end of a long extension with a u-joint on the end at an exact angle, and I can't have the u-joint flopping loose, so I pack a dab inside the u-joint so it will stay set at the desired angle but can still flex once I get the screw in the hole and start turning it. Solvent will clean it out if desired, but I just leave it in the u-joint because it works better that way.

  • @kussstuff

    @kussstuff

    10 ай бұрын

    I have been thinking of making a video on the advantages of Z51 performance. But until then here are a few of the main differences to help you make up your mind, faster steering, 9.5 wheels all around, Blistine Shocks, larger sway bars, oil cooling, push fan is standard on Z51. I think you know my opinion after watching this video.
