Great stuff!! Really good mods especially at the rear end. I don’t think i have enough money to do all these but surely some of the stuff doesn’t require much. I removed my air pump, AC and all of its components as well as cruise control and shortened the belt. All this was over 60lbs of useless weight. Of course spare tire is gone too. My 84 with z51 package weighs just over 3000lbs so pretty happy with that. I ve noticed my car runs much cooler 190-200F, even when driven hard in dubai heat. My fan also starts with ignition and i still have 195 thermostat. I removed the air box on top of my twin TBIs, capped/cancelled all open vacuum lines and having a reverse cowl hood opening defo helps dissipate the heat. I know it’s not OEM vette but i love it!!

Just don't be intimidated. I had only ever changed brake pads before I bought this car a year ago.

I got a little overboard just trying to keep up with my dad's roadster and stop getting passed by Miatas in the corners.

Id like to see details on the bracket/brace used to jack up the car If you woudnt mind That would help a ton of guys

What are the spec for the wheels they fit the car nicely. What is the back spacing and wheel width?? Thanks for the info.

Any reason why you didn't go Z51 front spring and went straight to coilovers? I love the idea of going up in wheel size, definitely opens up tire options. However, how much is the weight penalty do you estimate by doing so? Same with going to c6 brakes and rotors...wondering how much extra weight gets added? Totally agree on sway bars, that is my next move! I went with Dewitts radiator and bigger fans since my car isn't a dedicated track car. But I love your recommendations for cooling!

My decisions were cost driven. Coilovers are still the best option for truly independent suspension, and I got the Aldan coilivers for only $800 from Jegs. I'd say it only added 10-20 pounds to upgrade the brakes. I love them so much, I'll be uograding the rear brakes to c6 next week. The increased tire size made little weight difference. The car is twice as fast thru corners with wider tires. I can't imagine going back to stock width. Last week I added a Thermocool oil filter relocator and an oil cooler. Temps dropped 40 degrees when on track. Well see what happens when it gets really hot and humid. I was consistently running at 296 degrees oil temp. Thanks for the comments and encouragement. Will be at the track this Friday so we'll see how she does with a radiator hose that isn't cracked. 😀

What type of license is it that you can't get? I have the same kind of eyesight, and I got my SCCA full competition license.

Corbeau Pro Fx seats from Corbeau. Their seat mounts don't fit though so you'll have to do some fabricating. It's just a rubber spoiler I got on ebay. Really cheap.

ABOUT THE SPREADER BAR FOR JACK, IS IT HOMEMADE OR PURCHASED & IF PURCHASED, WHO FROM? I REALLY NEED THAT ITEM, BEST GE.

@@1eyedwillie sweet maybe you can talk about bushings , brake pads and rotors! Oh, also I notice my c4 gets understeer a bit under throttle, anything you haven't mentioned here that would help? I was thinking front canards and maybe a little spoiler to let the bitch turn once I hit around 70 or so on roads that may only be a 45 limit with some windy bends. Feel free to just add this stuff to your next video if you'd rather. Looking forward to more!!

So much better. When I drive my wife's stock size powerstop brakes, it's like, "When is this thing gonna slow down!" And until you get slicks you'll be able to lock those tires up! Send me pics! I love to see what others have done.

Hi Willie , i am looking at getting the flow one F6 wheels . Are you happy with yours ? Are you using the same size on all 4 ? Also want to buy new tires and have them all the same size , how big can I go without rubbing ? My car is a 94 automatic. Thanks !
