Awesome, I have a tuned 96 with JETS DST. If you can adjust timing and fuel at wot with a160 degree thermostat, you'll get allot more out of it...

Stock, the 93 lt1 c4s cooling fans dont engage till 228. Its insane, gm did design the motor to run warm, it is for emissions nonsense. I found this out because my temp sensor took a dump and the car got up to 234. I fixed the sensor and thought i hadnt fixed the car, because at 225 it wasnt cooling. It came on at 228, which is apparently stock. .-. gm giving c4 owners heart attacks.

I wonder how much faster the LT4’s are compared to the LT1’s

Minimal differences in performance driving. An auto with 3:07 performance rear differential rather than the stock 2:56 gears makes it even closer to an LT4. Many other factors to consider between the two engines regarding performance too. All being equal a LT4 would have a .1 to .3 second advantage on the 1/4 mile over a LT1. Biggest difference is the LT4 steeper rear gears for everyday performance driving. The 10% hp gain for the LT4 will give a slight advantage but nothing earth shattering.

Owned both.. The LT4 was faster than 02 Ws6. My 94 LT1 would lose by 2 bus lengths to that same WS6.

@@mikeross111I lost to a ws6 by a fender in my lt1 and lost to a lt4 by half a car. Both 6 speeds and I’m horrible at shifting

The biggest complaint about this year of the C4 is the LT1s optispark. But this is a minor issue in my opinion and experience. The 6 speed transmission is robust, and the engine is a SBC regardless of the year you get. IMO the C4 is the corvette to get right now

Put a 160° tsat in it lt1 loose power after bout 200 degrees

Speaking from experience DON'T PUT HEADERS ON IT!!! it'll cause more harm than good!! I put headers on mine and they fried my ECM!! Update..... the headers didn't actually fry my ECM i had a injector short out. It happened right after I put the headers in but thats not what actually fried it.

@TrollPatrolRacing the headers are literally less than a foot away from the ECM and an average temperature of about 1,000 degrees!!! Yes absolutely over heated the brain now I gotta send it in to get fixed.

@TrollPatrolRacing they are ceramic coated but I definitely should have wrapped um, they are either hooked or headman headers I can't remember which one. Lol

@@trollpatrolracing1535 I’m glad I’ve looked through the forms and on the later models I’ve seen 260-270whp and the exhaust system is a really big choke on some of the older ones. With long tubes and more I’ve seen the groups from the forms gain anywhere from 15-25whp with 2.5 in exhaust and 30whp from a 3 inch. Aswell might wanna look into a x pipe if you want peak power

@Stealth Raiders so we actually just made another video about redynoing the car at the beginning of March because we installed ARH headers and Xpipe, now we did still keep the exhaust mufflers due to budget and noise concerns. With that setup it made an additional 8whp and 14flbft. Now the stock exhaust is restrictive and I believe the stock mufflers are keeping us from seeing more, but I also believe it's because it's an early LT1 corvette so it does not come with a MAF, just a MAP sensor. I believe this is also keeping it limited until a proper tune is applied to it.

@@trollpatrolracing1535 Mufflers dont really give gains, more for sound. LIke mine quiet and quick You def need to touch the tune up with long tubes. Hit up pcm for less bet they already that that tune on file for your car.
