1. Supervised Feature Tracking for points and meshes:
• Planar Tracking: Learn how to use Mocha's planar tracker to accurately track specific areas in your video, even on complex surfaces. This ensures precise 3d position data for object manipulation.
• PowerMesh Tracking: Discover how PowerMesh creates a detailed mesh for objects with more intricate shapes. This will solve into an actual 3D mesh for complex objects.
2. Removing Unwanted Elements:
• Identify and Mask Unwanted Areas: Remove unwanted elements in your video, such as markers or reflections, to prevent them from interfering with the camera solve process.
• Refining the Solved Scene: Refine the camera solve by color-coding specific points and manually adjusting the scene orientation for optimal results.

    Great to hear! Currently importing 3D objects into Mocha is just to check the quality of the track before you export. You can do that by going to File > Import > USD 3D Object. Elizabeth shows this in her demos in a recent Mocha Pro livestream : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zq5ttruHeaS9nbA.html

    you have brought the base syntheyes features into mocha, sooner or later i presume entire syntheyes features will brought built-in into mocha. Hope your next move would be bringing silhouette features into mocha. All in all, mocha would turn out to be an ultimate package then!!

    We will certainly add more features to both Mocha and SynthEyes over time, but there is no plan to merge them into one product. SynthEyes is a very focused tool for complex, supervised 3D match moving and makes sense for people doing all kinds of 3D track work daily. The Mocha 3D solve is designed for users who need to add 3D to their tracking toolset while also maintaining a Mocha-style workflow.

    Any chance we can see a shot that the auto solves starts at say 2.3 and you get it down to below 1 or is that not possible in Mocha and would require Syntheyes?

  • @BorisFXco

    @BorisFXco

    It's definitely possible. Usually to correct something like that, you should identify what is throwing the tracking off. Usually it's some big unwanted movement that takes up a large amount of the frame, like water or branches and leaves blowing in the trees. Masking those off and re-solving will help in those scenarios. If it's something else, like extreme lens distortion, then rendering out an unwarped version through the Lens module and solving that, will give better results. For trickier shots that just aren't solving in Mocha Pro, SynthEyes is the solution. It has a lot of highly advanced tools designed to incrementally refine your solve to an appropriate quality.

    Why can't you delete the points? I don't understand why you have to mask them out.

  • @BorisFXco

    @BorisFXco

    3 ай бұрын

    Masking tells the solver not to add tracking points to the assigned areas when solving the camera. If tracking points are added to problem areas they can throw off the solve or make the solution worse. The resulting 3D points are not the trackers, so you cannot refine the camera solution by simply deleting them. If a solution looks good, you can always delete any 3D points you don't like, but masking problem areas makes sure you're getting a result from the right information in the scene.

    @@BorisFXcoIt may be worth considering for a future release to separate the single button into two 'track' and 'solve' buttons, so that bad trackers can be easily deleted without having to animate garbage mattes for the whole shot

    @@BorisFXco the best part about syntheyes is refining your solve and but interactively reducing your hpix. Consider adding a select and delete option to problem tracker points + refine solve like in syntheyes. It would be awesome 😎!

    That's the beauty of this industry, there are options for different types of user. Mocha Pro's 3D tracker is extremely fast, accurate, and very easy to use - often only taking a single click and a few seconds to get the result you need. And for your money, you don't just get the camera solver, you get the industry-standard planar tracking, masking tools, Remove, Lens correction, stabilization, and *all* the normal benefits of Mocha. Of course, you're also not just limited to a single host. Take that data out wherever you need it. There's many reasons why professionals on deadlines choose Mocha Pro.

    It's a great way to do product replacements with 3D compositing and simple material swapping. Basically paint one frame and it ripples through the rest of the shot. Or you can use it to create rough mesh geometry. It can also be used to get better 3D solves. Many reasons really :D You don't have to use it if you don't want to.
