because the punch that you don't see coming is the one that will hurt you the most. Mark Hunt is a heavy hitter but he's not a sniper, most of Overeem's losses are due to him bring reckless and letting his guard down and it's not about his chin. I will always say that there's no such a thing as a glass chin in the heavyweight division because one single shot could knock anyone's lights out, only a matter of time. Overeem isn't exactly a glass chin, he's just reckless.

Honestly imo Charles olivera is the most prolific glass cannon, not in the sense that he isn't durable, he can obviously take a hit while a lot of these guys just fold immediately, but in the sense that he has the most dangerous offense in any fighter while still having incredibly bad striking defense. I mean he can check leg kicks amazingly but he is extremely hittable in the face. He's kind of a glass canon of the most elite order, one that can beat any fighter no matter how good if they get caught on the feet or ground but also one who can get caught easily and pay for it

I'm a bit surprised to see Brock on the list in some ways. Fair points about his def and stuff, you're right. But he took a ton of dmg from Carwin and still won. Again you're spot on, it could have been stopped w Brock losing. But for me a glass cannon has super low hp or def stats or can't take a shot. Saying he had no defense in terms of technique or in a different way is fair. I feel Brock showed a lot of toughness and took a ton of shots against Carwin. It's prob nitpicking from me tbh.. Just in that sense it's tough for me to see Brock as a glass cannon but just imo. More like super aggressive and defensively irresponsible but tough ah lol.. The examples of Duffy and Soukoudjou and others all really resonated w me. Cody too is a good example for me.

And thank goodness Cody's team on the ultimate fighter stopped him from "doing something about it", especially against that version, or any version of Conor. He'd have gotten knocked out defending someone who would eventually be knocking him out...twice.

It was a lot easier to parse out glass cannon from walk-into-danger fighters. Immediately thought of Charles but in reality he just eats one to give two. Same with Dustin. People have questioned both their chins but they aren’t getting dropped by jabs. And 8/10 they are the ones dishing out the damage.

Legit downloading Dark Souls 3 after watching another Majin Joe achievement hunter video & I beat Gywn in Dark Souls 1 as a glass canon literally killing myself with power within (a pyromancy the cause you to do more damage but lose health over time) as I killed him and it counted btw. So I could not relate to this intro more. Also Volt Tackle Pikachu with light ball is also a baller glass canon. Love this channel, cheers mate.

What you said at the end about loving glass cannons is 100% true imo. Most people will take them over guys who fight through attrition. Speaking of video games, it's why I hated the introduction of resilience to WoW. I would rather be PoM pyro'd in the face 5000 fucking times for more HP than my character even has than play 1 more 30 minute arena match.

I remember Todd Duffee. When he first came to the UFC, I was like damn ! This guy was as big as Brock Lesnar. But he had the weakest of chins. I guess the big strong guys hardly get punched so they are not used to it. Just see the way Brock reacts every time he gets hit, whether to the face or body.

To be fair, the list was created for "glass cannons" not glass jaws. While he wasn't knocked out, Brock broke down the moment any huge hits landed. It's actually rare seeing a guy flop around after taking a huge punch, the only other time I can think of where a fighter responded to hits in a similar fashion is Bob Sapp. You could see the pain in Brocks body language and reactions every time a powerful punch landed on him. You don't see that very often at the top of the divisions in MMA. someone who clearly can't handle taking damage. While we could argue that he could take the damage considering he wasn't knocked out, it's mostly to do with his reaction and body language during those moments. I'm a Lesnar fan, thought it was amazing what he was accomplishing in the UFC but he clearly hated being punched. His body rejected it entirely. lol Either way, he's still one of the most exciting fighters to grace the octagon and his ppv views reflect that.

Not a big Lesnar fan but his downfall was because of diverticulitis. He can definitely take a punch, you need to watch him against Shane Carwin. During the fight I thought Lesnar was done after receiving the bombs from Carwin but he sustained and won. So definitely not a glass jaw candidate.
