whoever is in charge of accepting the ads from nord you might not be aware but its actually just not true that vpn's make the internet "secure" as if without it the internet is unsafe but if you look at your browser any website that has the padlock next to the url is encrypted the same way vpns encrypt ur connection so only very poorly designed or old websites do not encrypt your data but it says "NOT SECURE" where the padlock is on a secure website. if you are aware of this and still take advertise nord vpn like you did its a bit disingenuous im not saying stop advertising nordvpn i think its a great product as vpns are a powerful tool, for example the viewing other shows u did advertise and also you can save some money with region specific pricing etc. no hate just wanted this to come to your attention if you do read it if not so be it. great videos tho :)

I didn't like him during his active career, the smart part of me always knew it was just a gimmick, and he was being an asshole on purpose for publicity. But the emotional side of me still didn't like him. After he retired, and I started watching his KZread videos, I grew to really like him a lot. All the jokes and memes aside, he's a very smart guy, and he contributed immensely to the popularity of MMA.

Keep in mind, that was 2001 and I was only twenty-two years old. My co-worker was in his late 20s, much bigger than me and a BJJ blue belt. I trained, including in muay thai and BJJ, but wasn't on his level (I know this, because we once grappled at work, lol). He was so convinced I had no idea what I was talking about, even though I pointed out that Pride had changed their rules to allow kicks and knees to the heads of downed opponents. Guess who rubbed it in the following week at work. 😂

Would've probably defended 0 time if they gave him Merab and not the #6, it's all about how Dana "likes" you. He shouldn't even have win against Yan, even Dana said it, so he might not even be champion.

notable example: Uriah Hall V Kelvin Gastulum - you had it in the mentions. This should live way up as a hype stealer, for the amount of expectation on Uriah from the TUF season, and also the GAP in what was seen in these 2 guys at the time. However I agree that due to not having stakes / not even yet in thr UFC proper, or with rankings etc, it doesnt fit high enough but the hype crush was still very real. TLDR: a good fit for the gap in hype expectation, a poor fit for actual stakes/name brand of these guys at the time.

I would say Velasquez really stole Lesnar's hype. Lesnar had been legitimized as a real fighter, and Cain made him look like an amateur.

People were incredibly hype on Cain coming into the fight though. I think Mir would be more suited for stealing some of Brocks thunder for the first fight

While this is a fun list, I completely disagree with number 1. Before the Lawler fight, Ben had the hype, but I feel like real MMA fans saw that fight and realized Ben was past his prime. While I didn't think it would end like it did, I was pretty low on Ben after Lawler slammed him on his head and didn't get choked out.

Yeah DIaz / Lawler ufc 47 was my favorite fight of all time. Nick was a UFC noob (1 fight in) and he was talking so much shit about Robbie, who was the hyped feared striker vet at the time. Saying "he's not as good as he thinks he is," not in a bragging way, just in a matter of fact way. Rogan was saying "oh this is a BJJ guy expect this to go to the ground," then the fight started and Nick was talking so much SHIT while pimp slapping him to this day I've never seen anything like it. The rookie disrespecting the star veteran. Even Mazzagati said "NO TALKING!" and Rogan says on air "no talking? I didn't know that was a rule." I remember saying "you better win or you're gonna look sooo stupid" and sure enough, Nick KO's him. Robbie tried to get up but his legs were on queer street. From that moment I was such a Diaz fan because what new guy is that confident? It took years for the public to start liking him for whatever stupid reason. People loved to hate him
