lmao this happened in a game after the Nats were eliminated from playoff contention.... the same year Harper won the MVP. The man had every right to get frustrated and not run out one popup with like 4 games left in the season. He worked his ass off all summer and his teammates underperformed. Not to mention Pap went out there the next inning and gave up 5 runs. Being a Red Sox fan, I loved Pap as a player. But man was he a dick.

I'm sure the network did something about that producer who thought it was more ideal showing pitch sequence as opposed to showing the action going on in the dugout which could have been directed to immediately

One time this woman at work wanted to true up an accrual that was below our materiality threshold. I pointed the threshold out to her and she said she had capacity to complete it before the books closed so we agreed that it should be done. Pretty intense.

What everybody is missing about the Pap vs Harper incident is Pap just fired Harpers ass up. Harper was mad at himself for popping that up and was getting down and out about it. Pap just pissed him off and now he will work even harder to show up Papelbon in his next at bat. He don't even remember the pop up after being choked by Pap. Great thinking by the Vet player in choking that little mad fella out and getting his head back into the game. LMFAO

In regards to the Harper/Papelbon thing, there are many videos of fielders not catching pop flies in the shallow outfield. Usually from miscommunication. Small chance, but it's there. Is that correct? So, why not make the extra effort to run it out? It's not that demanding, is it?

Papelbon was right to call out Bryce Harper for not running the bases ... suppose the Philly outfielder dropped it. But, Papelbon was the one who started the physical fight. It was not the first time that I had issues with Papelbon’s behavior. 09/14/2014 - At the start of the 9th inning, the Phillies were enjoying a 4-1 lead over the Marlins at home. Papelbon then gave up four runs, costing the Phillies the lead. Not surprisingly, the crowd responded with a salvo of boos. Papelbon responded by grabbing his crotch. Papelbon claimed that it was necessary to adjust his crotch and that the grabbing of his crotch was not directed towards the booing fans. If that were so, couldn’t he wait until he got to the dugout?

Im sure that Ortiz was just as frustrated that Ferrell never bothered to argue the 0-1 strike called up at Davids shoulders. then the 3-1 strike called 8 inches outside of the plate..

There's part of me that wonders if some of this drama is WWE-style scripted. That after the game the players from both teams, the coaches, the umps, all get together in a bar and laugh at each other and talk about their performance. Ump: "Nice performance out there, you really sold it with the dirt kicking!" Coach: "Thanks man, but you did great with that over the top ejection gesture, didn't hurt your shoulder did you?" Ump: "Nah, I've been building up the muscles around there. Say, you missed the script a bit, you weren't supposed to call me a c***s***** until after I ejected you." Coach:"Sorry 'bout that, I just really got into it." Ump: " 's all good, buy you a drink?"
