That ump sucked. Escalated the situation by constantly getting in the face of the coach and pushing the coach. Should have knocked the ump out. Umps suck the last 20 years getting off throwing people out. Just to get drama going with umps that no one likes and they cry about it so the commissioner said start throwing people out and more fans will come. It's all BS.

@@wavydavy3737 idk what you saw but I saw an ump that took over the situation. Instead of letting Terry go after the ump who made the ejection he told him to direct his anger towards him to avoid Terry being thrown out as well. Told him very clearly why they had to make the ejection, that the league wanted them to send a message that intentional beans won't be tolerated, that he doesn't necessarily agree with how MLB wanted them to handle the situation and he just has to do what was instructed, that he understood that his team felt like they needed to do something to retaliate, when Terry yelled "why don't we get our shot?" He told him you just had your shot and you guys blew it, directed him to the bullpen without having to touch him moving him away from everyone else so he can cool off.

What bothers me is for some reason the umps think pitchers have complete control & never have one go way off. How many times have you seen a infielder throw the ball to first & miss his target by 10 feet? Pitchers throw many more times a game. Every once in awhile they have one get away. Umps need to use some common sense but everything has to be black an white.

To be fair, their asses should have been in the jackpot considering how badly they screwed up the previous game. The double bad decisions to call Utley safe at 2nd AND not call him for interference (which would have made the runner out at first as well) single handedly gave the Dodgers the win. Terry Collins was a average MLB head coach but his players all respected that man. He would stand up for any of his players no matter what. With this classic ejection he will always be on all the best of head coaches ejections compliations.

Wasn't a Bs slide. That's how you play ball. The 2b needs to avoid the take out and the runner on first needs to take him out to avoid the DP, ESPECIALLY in that situation with the tying run at third late in the game. That's how it's always been done. Tejada was just a shitty 2b that wasn't good at anything. Injuries are part of the game, and him breaking a leg shouldn't have been enough to derail him, but he sucked so it was.

Nah. It just so happened that that happened on a night when a professional camera and sound crew were supposed to shoot a documentary about the world series. They rushed to turn the equipment on when that happened.

Could you imagine if they had Angel Hernandez and all the players/managers around him mic'ed up. That video would be 82 hours long.

Umps should have to make a sound effect that every time they toss someone. It would make tosses more rare, but the umps would get really creative with noises. Baseball should make this a rule.
