It was still a trash call for throwing out a pitcher for not hitting someone, when the night before they didn't even punish a guy for blatantly leaving the base path and actually injuring someone. That ended the second baseman's season with a broken leg and not only did the runner not get punished, he was rewarded by not even being called "out" at second. The next day, without any warning to either team, they toss a pitcher for "not hitting someone" with a pitch.

Weaver yes, Archer no. There should be less showboating in all sports. When you succeed at your job, is it okay to gloat about it to everybody around? That makes you an asshole who can't handle success- same with somebody who wants to watch their homerun like that douchebag on the Reds. They can watch the film and see that shit. It's meant to disrespect the other team.

@@DruidsCalling i'm not talking about trash talk. you hear stories about jordan and ichiro talking trash, that's great. To stare at your homerun like you've never hit one before is something else entirely. it's not soft to prefer sportsmanship. i'm not saying the game needs to be less fun - we all like jomboy's breakdown of walkoffs and stuff. there's just a difference between trash talk, showboating, and celebrating.
