Hiya, I've just started watching your fishing escapades which are very good inclusive of great scenery, however please, please, wear a lifejacket,, your fortunate to have two loving ladies in your family, don't make them unhappy. Unfortunately, two good guys up here were lost overboard after 30mins ! If only they had lifejacket and plb they probably would have survived. This was on east coast of Scotland between Dunbar and Berwick. Anyways, you've done an excellent plumbing job and your taking care of your new boat as well after use. All the best.

That’s a lovely estuary mate. Hopefully another video might be coming from this weekend. We’ve had so much wind and bad weather recently it’s just not been possible to get out.

Hi, have you ever fished inside Salcombe estuary for Plaice? We have a boat trip planned later this year and hopefully catch other species. What bait would you suggest to have a successful day out? Tight lines.

Hi, there are all sorts of fish in the estuary that you could go for, definitely plaice but also rays, gilts, bass (catch and release only as it’s a bass nursery) etc. If you’re confined to the estuary I would suggest drifting just inside the bar and more towards the Portlemouth side than the Salcombe side. You’ll get plaice and bass here. If you can go outside of the estuary the area just outside of the bar towards Starhole Bay is called the range and this also holds plaice, rays and smaller turbot. I tend not to fish the estuary, mainly because it can be weedy and this seems to be a particular problem this year. Live bait is not permitted in the estuary but a selection of fresh and frozen plus some lures is the best option. My favourite for a plaice would be fresh rag tipped with half a prawn. Good luck! 🎣🎣

I was surprised that they out-fished the live launce. The lure was a bit smaller than the live eel so maybe a bit closer to the size of the main bait fish down there. 🎣🎣
