Bonjour, what is the biggest bass you’ve caught, to date, you two make it so easy, the money our team played, 350 mile trip to Weymouth, unreal, love the channel, 👊

My biggest is only 13lb.8 but I have had plenty of doubles from boat and shore but not in in recent years. Rebecca has had a 19.5lb bass fishing from a boat in Alderney many years ago. Unfortunately it came on a handline not a rod. Many years ago they used to tow with handlines same as here for pollack and bass with a big pear weight and long trace,

Are there any wrecks near you and would they hold crabs and lobster or would that be difficult to pot ?

Not a lot left of many wrecks these days, Not a good idea potting them as the cables could tangle easily around the wreckage

Ironically that big white fort building you see in a lot of Trojs videos… that’s Fort Grey. We call it the cup and saucer. It’s the islands shipwreck museum! There’s a lot of wrecks around the island however Trojs is far more knowledgeable than me and if he says there’s not a lot of them left then I believe him.
