I had/have an amazing father a few times he forgot to pick me up at ballet after work. Couple Mondays I sat and sat and sat until he got home and realized it was Monday. 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Situations like this are the very reason I set alarms on my phone especially when it happens on a day when my kids don’t normally have things to do if it’s not a normal activity or pick up day unfortunately it’s just too easy to get distracted and forget something you normally don’t do that day 😢

Absolutely. Also don’t fall Into the trap of sleep overs. Allowing children to stay overnight at a place. I know of someone who in the same year level. The little girl had a sleep Over and the father molested her. This is fact cause he went to jail.

I’m sure that’s the years of therapy talking. I can’t wrap my head around what else would be so important to make you forget. I keep coming up with terrible answers - but I don’t want them to be true for that woman.

My folks forgot me once. My mum though dad was getting me, dad thought vice versa 🤷♀️. Regardless, everyone should be able to walk anywhere whenever. POS like this girl's attacker shouldn't exist. She only had one block to walk. One. It's infuriating.

Dude, I had/have an amazing father who forgot to pick me up at ballet a handful of times over the years. He’d get home realize and get back in the car. A type A dentist - my hunch is ADHD parents more commonly do this.

How did the police not check whether the O'Brien's had actually been in jail??!! 🤯 All well & good listing off the expense in money & man power in those years of investigation that could have been avoided but what about the victims that were attacked after Shauna, that would have been protected had those alibis been checked & the monsters locked up for life, or the pain & suffering the family had to endure not knowing who had killed, & so violently attacked, their baby girl?

These comments are wild to me. Definitely, had the ideal upper class childhood. My parents couldn’t have loved me more, and I participated in all types of sports. Dad, cosmetic dentist, forgot to pick me up from ballet/swim class a handful of times over the years. He’d get home, and have to turn around. I can’t believe the adults here stating neglect. Enough of you I texted my best friend - her, and her twin too were forgotten a couple times. Difference, we weren’t instructed/knew not to just go walking off. You call the house from desk, and leave a voice mail, or chill out read a book knowing you aren’t abandoned.
