The craziest thing to me is how these big corporations managed to attach the word 'micro' to shit that's often almost as expensive as the game itself... Like when I think of the word MICRO I'd think like dollar and under type shit...

They don't need those, _unless_ the game goes live service. And guess what, gamers wanted live service because they didn't want to pay for expansions. If players want additional content after launch but don't want to pay for it, then the developers need some way of paying the bills to crank out that content. Now that gamers have started to realize that live service requires microtransactions, they're starting to decide they were fine with paid expansions splitting the player base.

It was a bait and switch. Initially, the premise of microtransactions was to fund continued development of the game. People pay for optional cosmetics so the devs can work on more content for everyone. It however just ended up being developers shipping out 60% of a game and selling the remaining 40% incrementally over time with each percentage costing the same as half the base price of the title... So yeah, what started as thing to get around people's dislike of subscriptions, ended up being far worse than any subscription and also found itself being shoehorned into games where it has no right being (Like single player games)

That's... surprisingly accurate. The only difference being one is a bit tsundere (at least when making friends) and the other is unrequited deredere.

To be fair to the Baldur's Gate 3 streamers, the "show nudity" option in most games amounts to either showing characters in their underwear or at worst having them blurred out like in Cyberpunk 2077 It's rare nowadays for a developer to fully embrace the 18+ rating

@@tarille1043 the nudity is only in the character creator and menu's, when not in the menu and in photo mode your V has briefs/panties on even if you have censorship off. CDPR added a small file that added them with the day 1 patch. if you play on pc and know where the file is you can remove it. worst part is one of the high ups said it was supposed to be like that, but removing the file does nothing to hinder the game and if you have a hard copy, install and play the game without updating it at all, you have full nudity.

"To the left" has been a joke to tease/torment me among my friends for years. I spent hours in Megaman X 6 trying to find the last heart container and armor piece. I knew what level they were in since each level only had one of each. But no matter how long I looked, and how many lives we're lost testing for false bottomless pits, I found it. In the second half of the stage, you walk immediately to the left, and both the Heart and Armor piece are right there a foot away from your spawn point...It wouldn't have been too bad, but with BOTH of them being there caused me physical pain. And a rage quit.

10:19 with that kind of injury you would'nt lose a heart you would lose an entire health bar

10:03 the eye of Cthulhu actually can just spawn randomly at night time, and if it just spawns on day 1, the game is basically hell cause that thing will harass you, not to mention if you only just managed to get some npcs cause that thing is gonna maul them

You can take whatever race you want, and give yourself +2 to any one stat, or +1 to any two stats to have greater degree of customization, while also getting a feat at level 1, and an extra skill. They basically took the Variant Human rule and applied it to all races.

I've only played in two different games of IRL d&d. And one point our rogue got a critical fail on a trap which was a trap of teleportation, he ended up at the bottom of the sea and died. He was forced to play a character made by the DM after that😅

As someone who has played dnd for close to 6 years and ran my first session a few days ago. It IS funnier when you fail. I find that if the player fails, let them describe HOW they fail then as the DM elaborate to empower it.

Speaking of waterfalls, the first time I played Skyrim I decided to check under a waterfall several hours in. That random waterfall just happened to have a chest underneath it. That felt pretty good
