Thankfully, with the Chao moral alignment the actual way you do it in SA2 is to play with the Chao with either a hero (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) or a villain (Shadow, Rouge, Eggman). In SA1, there’s food you can feed them to achieve the same effect

Bro, that first meme, on god. We usually keep inventory on not because we're afraid to lose it but because we don't wanna go back and retrieve it. It's annoying to just die in a cave and then sprint a marathon just to go "LEEROY," grab everything, immediately die again, then repeat over and over.

yeah I honestly think the losing inventory thing is a bit too harsh and too much of a hassle. Plus keeping inventory means you've got a shortcut home, which I really like.

Sometimes it's just about HOW the story is being told. If I'm playing a video game... I want to play a video game. I don't want to sit around watching a 17 hour long cutscene. It's like bruh, if I wanted to watch a film, I'd go watch a film.

it really depends a lot on how the story is conveyed. some stories the cutscenes really feel like crucial information being imparted and you're glues tot he seat. and some cutscenes feel like slice of life filler episodes from a shounen anime where you just want tog et back to the interesting things. In my opinion one of the best methods of story telling is having the party members and characters talk to each other audibly while you play the game. you don't have to stop and read text, and they can do the majority of the character development and backstory stuff while you have fun with the game, that way the actual cutscenes are only for major events. This is how some of my favorite games of all time did it and it works, but it's also requiring a bigger budget to get all that voicework done instead of just text of condensed into a single cutscene.

The Baldurs gate creators should hsve seen this coming. D&d once made a big survey of player characters, and human fighter was by far the most common.

The Mario 64 comic reminds me I was scared of the ReDeads in Ocarina of Time when playing it the first time. My brother and I were especially freaked when hearing the original Fire Temple theme, lol.

That Spider-Man movie game was incredible! My little kid mind was blown when I unlocked the Green Goblin as a playable character! That was like something you'd hear as a playground rumor, but it was real! I remember when I first got the sequel and spent hours on the early 2000's internet looking for ways to unlock Doc-Ock. Sadly, there is no way.

@@drthmik i had it on 2005 so i was probably 8 or 9 and might have taken me like a year to finish it. I think i might have asked some friends to come over and watch me finish the last bowser.

Was I one of the very few who gave my friends the good controller. Mainly because I had to handicap myself from utterly destroying them in what we played

@@Avetho Yep. Baldur's Gate 3 is loosely-based on 5th Edition D&D, and during the D&D Next Playtest and throughout the lifespan of 5th Edition, Human Fighter has remained incredibly popular.

I agree. Story to me is just as if not more important than the gameplay. I play games to have fun and sometimes (I do play some games not for story like minecraft) be told a story, because I love storytelling.

Depends on the game. JRPGs, I'm not here for whatever hilariously stupid story there is, I'm here for the character interactions. Western RPGs, the story IS the gameplay, everything between is just busy work. FPS? Why are you pretending there's a story, shut up and let me shoot something. Strategy game? All I need is the context to understand the mission parameters and know what to expect from the enemy. And lastly, if you try to insert a story into Tetris I'll insert a knife into your ribcage, you monster.

It's worth noting that the most popular race in World of Warcraft is heavily influenced by what is best. Like, Human used to be the best race for PvP, so it was the most popular. Likewise there was a period where Troll was the best PvE race so it was also very popular. (I've not played in years so I don't know if these still hold true) There's a lot of stuff like this in games where certain races are just better than others. (This can be notable in most D&D based games, where Human is a consistently good race regardless of class and build...) So yeah... It's not always about the aesthetics. Sometimes, Humans are just OP.

I had to get some help from my little brother for a game scenario once. I was 11 years old and playing Halo for the first time. Got to the level 343 Guilty Spark and encountered the Flood. Fleshy space zombies are right in my horror strike zone and I was lost and low on ammo. I wound up asking my little brother to play for a bit and he managed to find the exit to my relief. And then they hit you with the Library level, lol.

Fun Fact: Most of the ancient Greek and Roman statues and buildings have (upon much closer examination) pigments of many colors trapped in the cracks on their surface So they WERE colored statues The paint simply wore off in the last 2000 years

Ancient statues had been painted. It's just that they lost most pigments over the centurys until modern archeologists believed they were white by default.

So one time, my wife and I were playing Elder Scrolls Online and were doing some sneaky mission. I think it was Dark Brotherhood related. As we're sneaking through, I see a squirrel and think 'Oh, I need some fishing bait,' and kill the squirrel. Apparently, there were enemies close enough and I was "in combat" with the squirrel long enough for them to detect us. And these were more elite enemies, the kind where the two of us could barely take down one, and there were three. By the grace of Talos, we managed to kill them without dying ourselves, at which point my wife turned to me and asked "So what have we learned?" "Squirrels are the devil..."

7:06 Those Ancient statues were colored, it's just that the paint fell off over time, but yeah research has established they were richly painted to look as realistic and as colorful as they could make it.

The Bloodborne player bullets need a big assed hitbox because you use them to parry/riposte attacks. Makes hitting that swinging boss attack a lot easier than if the HB was actually bullet sized.

I play a lot of solo survival in minecraft and I always use keep inventory. Not only does it save your stuff and save you the trouble of trying to get it back if you die, it also makes dying a shortcut home, which is nice when you've been exploring a lot or you got lost in a cave system or the nether and you just wanna go home.

Sao fatal bullet I did purple. Can't remember if it was a game like Diablo but I played a few where the female character is dual weirder/ assassin I love any assassin type dual weirder doesn't matter male or female tho

my family had it be that i would be the one doing skill challenges in games and my mum was the puzzle gamer, and if we were both unable, we let my sister do stupid, and she finds her way through as for my player 2 controller, it is pristine thanks to rarely being used
