@@shelbybayer200 I dont know what Masters adds to the lore but in Legends Arceus itself we LITERALLY SEE the protagonist time travel from the modern world. So yes its time travel, wether the protag is dawn/lucas or just someone who somehow looks like them they canonically come from the modern era

I am all for the idea that Larry is a Japanese businessman that got isekaied into the Pokémon world. Even better if he was involved with the Pokémon Company or Nintendo and was in Spain for business when he got hit by a truck that was carrying Pokémon props for an event he was part of organizing.

Larry gives me an idea. Make a pokemon game where the villain team is normal people who got isekaied into the pokemon world. You could also have 2 groups of isekai'ed people: one group (the not true villains) just wants to go home) and the other could be the ones who to kidnap all their favorite pokemon.

A pokemon exercise game where you're trained by pokemon...like imagine running with a cinderace or lifting weights with a machoke. Tie chi from meinshao or boxing with crabrawler

@@joshuabean7805rangers did show up in the anime and one of the movies. I don’t know when he stopped watching, but rangers were being pushed around in Gen 3. It’s possible he didn’t see the episodes, but I don’t know if he saw the movies or not as those are kinda big events for early Pokemon as that’s where all the cool legendaries show up. Manaphy’s movie is pretty good too, so if recommended he might have seen it.

I always imagined Larry would sound and talk like Ben Stein.

Wasn't the reason why Erika closed off her gym to male trainers because of a rash of fake trainers trying to harass her gym trainers? It's been ages since I watched Kanto, but I'm fairly sure that was it - especially since it was a roundabout reference to the creepy old man in the games...

My question is why are only female gym trainers employed? Was there an incident when she hired one? How come only her gym has so much trouble when other gyms are headed by attractive female gym leaders like the Cerulean one where I think Misty’s two older sisters always wear swimsuits. I get it’s video game logic or something, but I still find it funny this is the only gym to have issues.

I don't remember that. I remember watching the episode as a kid thinking it was a "boys are icky, only girls allowed" set-up. Which Ash only reaffirmed by being oblivious to his own rudeness. So he had to crossdress to get his battle, simple as. I don't think the creepy old man was referenced in the anime, so any detail about the ladies being harassed would def have surprised me.
