Impressive. I'm surprised at the low idle.... sounds nice. In the 1980's I had a few remote controlled gas powered helicopters. The motors were about the same size as this one but they revved very high even at idle.

No, no, no! Harley's have had crossover (joined) pipes for years, they suck. I have a RoadKing with trual duals and no catalytic converter, best sound ever. Joined pipes bad, tuned dual exhaust good

I enjoyed it! It made me think of a few Ideas of my own, thank you for sharing.

Rubber engine mounts will be mandatory for a V-Twin like this, too much vibration. No counterbalancing by design. Do not hard mount this design, it must be a soft mount.

The crankshaft had far, far too much play when he rotated it with the cover removed. I doubt that this will last very long.

The side cover is also a support for the camshaft & gear drive assembly. The cam gear’s bearing seats inside the side cover 👍
