Mini Self-Watering Moss Wall

Keeping moss indoors can be challenging because in most cases, it requires constant hydration. Terrariums are an easy solution because they retain humidity, which moss will appreciate. What if you want something open? Maybe a moss wall that waters itself?
Well, you're in luck! After reviewing the feedback from last week's video, it would appear that many of you wanted to see an easier and more accessible living wall. One that features moss, waters itself, and is cheap. Believe it or not, this is a really straight forward build. Plus it looks like something that came pre-made! All you have to do is put it together.
As promised, I left links to everything I used to make this project. I tried my best to find all of the cheapest options, but there may be something I missed. Be sure to look around for yourself just to be sure.

@dave right, I think it was just a slip of the tongue which is why I left the comment. If you look up 30 ppi you can see its the same foam. As far as I can tell 300 ppi doesn't commonly exist, but if you can find it you'll see that the holes are too small and numerous for it to work well for growing moss.

Thank you so much for this video. I found your channel earlier this year because I had this same concept in my head. Wife and I started collecting moss and have a bin with its own little micro climate keeping the moss alive. I had the same idea for the watering but hadn't figured out mounting the moss. I wasn't really convinced it would attach so well to a vertical porous surface. :)

Very very very inspiring dude! I've always wanted to make a living wall, even if small like this. I have the materials it seems, except the box and appropriate plastic below for the bowl. I'm gonna do it!! Thanks for sharing!!

Wow!! I was so happy to hear it's $50- that's definitely within my budget! I'm so excited to try this out myself, it would be beautiful in an office, or any room, really

When you rewire, cutting the hot/neutral at different lengths will make it easier to wrap and make the risk of shorting out much lower.

@@ErebosGR Yeah, should have at least used wire nuts or butt connectors...and marine heat-shrink tubing so there's no chance of moisture getting in either.

@@byrn i dont know how much marine shrink tubing is but he could have used what he had and put a dab of silicone in heat tubing before shrinking it. would also make a waterproof seal
