Mini Self-Watering Moss Wall
Keeping moss indoors can be challenging because in most cases, it requires constant hydration. Terrariums are an easy solution because they retain humidity, which moss will appreciate. What if you want something open? Maybe a moss wall that waters itself?
Well, you're in luck! After reviewing the feedback from last week's video, it would appear that many of you wanted to see an easier and more accessible living wall. One that features moss, waters itself, and is cheap. Believe it or not, this is a really straight forward build. Plus it looks like something that came pre-made! All you have to do is put it together.
As promised, I left links to everything I used to make this project. I tried my best to find all of the cheapest options, but there may be something I missed. Be sure to look around for yourself just to be sure.

The foam is 30 ppi, not 300 for those who are trying to do the same. Beautiful little wall and inspiring as always

@dave right, I think it was just a slip of the tongue which is why I left the comment. If you look up 30 ppi you can see its the same foam. As far as I can tell 300 ppi doesn't commonly exist, but if you can find it you'll see that the holes are too small and numerous for it to work well for growing moss.

Tanner and his love for moss makes my day 100% better
That week off really shows. I liked the old videos, but these new ones seem like cool fresh doable ideas.
"Stay mossy and peace" Perfect opportunity to have used a peat moss pun! Admittedly, I gotta do this someday! Hopefully, soon!
I was watching your videos for so long and then 2 months ago I started building Terrariums and now I have 5. Will build a new one tomorrow. And Moss is now my favorite plant. Unfortunately I only have one native species available in my area. Thank you tenner for such an inspiration. God bless you.
This is so cool and so creative!!! Wow! Looks awesome!
Thank you so much! This is just what I was trying to build for my desk. You always come up with the best terrarium DIY's. I also like how you break down the cost in your videos it is very helpful. :)
Your imagination and creativity are amazing. You are truly a talented artist.
I just made my very first moss terrarium thanks to your help. Please never stop making videos!
This really turned out incredibly amazing...OMG, am really gonna try this. Thanks man.
Loved this week's project! This is so great for those of us with no horizontal space!! I will definitely be trying this out!
Love this video and project! Just a bit of critique, the editing felt a little too fast and disorienting. Its a cool smooth effect! Perhaps it could be toned down slightly. Love your videos tanner! I always look forward to an upload

It’s so cute🥰 love how it turned out! +I’m confident it’s something I could do myself, perfect project!
Thank you so much for this video. I found your channel earlier this year because I had this same concept in my head. Wife and I started collecting moss and have a bin with its own little micro climate keeping the moss alive. I had the same idea for the watering but hadn't figured out mounting the moss. I wasn't really convinced it would attach so well to a vertical porous surface. :)
I love this! Moss is very relaxing to just look at, you can almost get lost in the texture and shades. I'm inspired! Thanks - Marcie
Always a pleasure to watch how you make ideas become real - thank you so much for sharing!
I was completely shocked to hear that my mom has seen some of your videos too! Also loving the new zoom-in on materials with the name and price labelled.
The scale of this makes it a perfect project for me. Thanks for sharing all of your projects!
You've inspired me to begin trying mossariums and terrariums! Gonna try this one for my brother for Christmas! Thanks Tanner! You're awesome keep up the good work! 🤙
Thank you. I’m obsessed with doing something with moss caring, and not impressed by some options (potted, terrarium, etc.) I’ll try this, for sure!!
This content never gets old!
Awesome video Tanner. You cover the whole spectrum, from elaborate to simple. Love it.
Most of your designs are amazing and way out of my league in terms of supplies, know-how, maintenance etc. But this I could totally see myself doing! It would be awesome if you expanded on this mini-project and did a few other versions using this small container, or other small plastic containers!
Elegant and affordable! Thanks for teaching us. I'd love to see reviews/tips for choosing power tools one day. 🙏🏽
I love that your projects look so fun but easy and on a small budget!
Thank you 🙂
THIS IS AWESOME! I can totally picture this in a cool concrete frame or something :) Well done!
Beautiful! love the simplicity of this project.
This turned out amazing!! Just like everything else you make. Absolutely love your videos
Oh I love this! It is something that a non-crafty person, such as myself can actually do!
Just gotta say I LOVE your channel so much!! I’m so glad I found it
This is fantastic. Doable for most folks, cheap, creative, looks fabulous. I might make one for my step dad
Your videos have evolved so much since you started out. Just like the moss portrayed in your video, you sir, are thriving. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic idea! I feel a strong itch to build this cute moss wall. Thank you!
I very much 100% want to try this! I absolutely love this and I think my sister would love it too! It’s a masterpiece in my opinion as always Tanner ☺️
Ok I love this!!!! I’ve been wanting to do this in a slightly larger scale for my bathroom. I feel like now I’m empowered to make it 💪🏻

Awesome video, sir. I especially, liked how you not only, described the materials, needed for your project but the where and you purchased and price, mentioned. Thank you. 🤗👍👏
Absolutely fantastic. You were great at yr description of the job. Thank you so very much for your video.
The content of the videos themselves are too notch, but the production, captions and all that stuff is really informative and great. 👍🏼
I've been looking all day for exactly this! Thank you so much!
It's almost moss season (I think)! I'm gonna look for some new types of moss for a new project, something like the moss garden you made a while back, or maybe an open terrarium.

When you rewire, cutting the hot/neutral at different lengths will make it easier to wrap and make the risk of shorting out much lower.
