DIY Mini 3 World Zen Garden Terrarium
I've been thinking lately that I wanted to make a new terrarium. So, I took a look through my containers and found the one I used in this video. As soon as I saw it, this idea came to me. I thought, how cool would it be to include a sand zen garden on the bottom?
As I started working through it, I really embraced the rustic artisan vibe. Overall I'm really pleased with how it turned out. From the handmade tools to the terrarium and even the stain choice, I think it shaped up to be a really unique piece. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

It seems like ages since I last made a proper terrarium on the channel. So, I took the idea of a zen garden and combined it with a terrarium. What do you think of the result? I think it turned out awesome. I hope you all enjoyed the video and have a great weekend! PS - Sorry for the late upload. This one took AWHILE to edit.

Maaaaaaaaan, soooooo delicate, so detailed,so small and so beautiful. I love working with small detailed ideas,it is very time consuming but in the end its worth it. Kudos to you again you never cease to amaze me Tanner. I am so thankful and honored to be part of the Serpa squad . Keep it coming and keep up the incredible art of nature. Loving it!
something i love about artists is, that no matter the level or detail of craft, hotglue will always be a tool. its just so silly

People hate on hot glue way too much. It has a specific use case and this is a perfect usage for it. No one is building houses with it, but for small crafts that aren’t moving much it’s perfect

I respect people that use hot glue, largely because it means they have the patience of a saint if they can deal with all of the glue strings getting all over the place. They just drive me crazy, and are seemingly almost impossible to entirely remove, so I tend to avoid my hot glue gun like the plague.

Tanner, as always, you're kept things as cheap and DIY as possible while making a piece among envy from professionals! This was an amazing video, and something I could see myself doing (if i ever find the motivation since i know it wont be as stellar as yours).

Oh dear, a candle holder becomes a terrarium. I love it. Everything starts looking like aquariums, terrariums, ponds etc.... Vases, candle holders, fruit bowls, terracotta garden pot pond... I love it when items like that can be repurposed and reused. Great work again....
Dude I was blown away when you placed the clear marbles! You’re so creative I really like watching your videos, they’re so calming to me. I wish I could shrink down to fairy size so I can explore cool terrariums like this. 🧚🏻♀️🏞 Good work dude! 🌱🐸👍🏻
I found your channel today after searching for terrarium ideas. I've watched several of your videos and can't believe how creative and talented you are. Everything you do is beautiful, functional... and basically perfect. You make things which I look for in stores, but never find. I just watched the mini-aquarium for snails, and was left speechless, but now, this zen garden triple terrarium.......no words!!
Honestly they're all adorable🥰 What a unique gorgeous little piece!
The fact that you get such beautiful ideas by looking at ordinary things, is just amazing. Another class piece of work.
I didn’t even notice this was a 20 minute video. This was awwesome!

Just when I thought the terrarium options were exhausted...this is amazing! Endlessly creative.
I can't decide what I love more... the piece as a whole, the little scapes, the zen sand, or the tiny tools. Thanks for another amazing build!
I just said to myself earlier today that it's been a while since Tanner uploaded a terrarium build and here it is!! Thank you! :')
This might be my favourite video that I have seen on this channel. The vibe of the video, the easy to follow tutorial, the end result. This is the sort of content that can inspire people. I wish this sort of stuff would be promoted more, since it shows how just a bit of work can create an amazing result for yourself and others.
Your creativity never ceases to astound me. The terrariums are not only beautiful but they serve the same purpose as a full-scale zen garden - gazing for hours without boredom.
The way you didn’t react to hot glue on your fingers blew my mind. Dedication!

I think this build is absolutely lovely. My favorite sphere is the left, because it looks like a tiny scene in a forest with miniature ivy! One of these days I will build my own terrarium, you inspire me so much Tanner!
You need some little stones for the sand tray.
OMG it's GORGEOUS! It's AWESOME. It's a MASTER PIECE. I love IT. It's ADORABLE. Your PASSION brings SMILE. Thank you so much.

I used to have the exact container that I bought about 7 years ago with the intention to make terrariums, but I never did! Mine didn’t have a stand with it though. This video really fulfills my previous desire to turn it into a terrarium and I love it!!! Beautiful work, as always.

Very beautiful indeed! Serpa design inspired me to create a fishkeeping channel! 🐟🐠
Definitely one of my favourites! And I'm so happy to see some springtails again! I miss the cleanup crew when it isn't part of a build
my favorite is the one to the left end. that quercifolia really sets it off with that contrast
I like the one with the dragon wood the best! Your terrariums truly are the most mystical, wonderful, and serene ones out there. The way you explain the process of building it is also very calming and therapeutic. Thank you for this.
My favorite is in the center as well, Does anyone else see the piece of wood that looks like an old woman with a big smile on her face and waving as if to say "HELLO". It's the far right piece of wood in the center globe. When i first saw it going in it looked like it she was saying "Yay, I got picked". I love these videos! Tanner, you do such beautiful work.
There is only one word to describe what this guy is and what he does is and that’s awesome
I love it. the reflection in the clear marble is an awesome effect.
I just like the idea that someone gives this guy a gift or something for Christmas and he's staring at the container like. "Man....I can probably make a terrarium out of this." 😂
This guy drives me crazy with the level of hie creativity. I wanna meet him in person and compliment him for his dexterity and excellent aesthetic imagination
Very cute and very zen! A little Buddha for the sand garden would be adorable, too ☯️
I think this is one of my favourite terrariums since I started watching back in the Spring. I agree that the tray could be larger if it is to be used as a zen garden, but the footprint does look nice for the size of the terrariums. The marble on top was the perfect final touch.
Awesome build as always! I’m always so mesmerized by zen gardens and I’m super glad to see this implemented in your builds! Perhaps one day we could see a build on a bigger scale :D maybe with a bonsai maple or a levitating pot!
Love this. Curved branches one my favorite.
Absolutely my favorite build of yours so far!! The three little worlds, the zen garden below, the handmade tools... Just makes me want to jump into the screen and live among the moss!
Such a unique glass to start with
This is absolutely gorgeous!! So much talent and I love how it turned out. You’re a master of what you do!
I love how your videos are useful, like you could follow along and actually DIY for the most part.
looks beautiful, i like the calm way you explain and show how you create your visions
Very cool! I like the center one, the best too!
This is a super cool build; I love minimalist aesthetics! I think this and the stalactite are my favorites lol You should totally do more projects like this
My favorite is : all the 3 of them, plus the tools aswell, the container with those open connections/passing through, the base.. they all complement each other very well and the result is so peaceful
This is one of my favorite simple projects! The glass marbles on top are genius. They look like they've always been there.
16:10 - 16:18 There’s a little spider on the spagnum moss 🕷
Hi Serpa! Another awesome vid! Funny thing is, I was just looking through your videos lately and did notice that it had been a while since you've done a terrarium build! Glad you're back at it. Quick question: You got me into terrariums this last year, and since then, I've been hooked. I followed your video on moss propagation for my first one. It's been great, and I've been able to find around ten different species to add. However, after a couple of months, mold started to appear. At first I just dunked the moss in a hydrogen peroxide + water mixture, which worked pretty well. It kept coming back though, so I added springtails. While I'm sure the springtails have been helpful, the mold remains. I can't use my old hydrogen peroxide mixture, because I read that it kills the springtails. I have the terrarium under this grow light for 10 hours a day. The moss is looking great, but the mold sort of ruins the aesthetic. Do you ever have similar problems with your setups? If so, what would you do about it in my case?

It can happen sometimes due to lack of airflow. If you can install a small fan on the side to keep the air moving, it should stop occurring. Something tiny like these should work. www.amzn.com/B08948MT6F/ EDIT get the 5V USB one.

@@parmerapps69 I found that too much light contributed to the problem as well. Over a year later, no more mold or algea, after switching my moss to live under my Dr Walstad inspired rack w/ shop lights (timer is on at 8:30 am, off at 1 pm, back on at 5 pm, off at 10 pm) Aquariums no longer grow algae, either.
Love all 3 & the larger piece as a whole✨ I'd definitely go bigger on the sand tray, it's more an implication of a zen garden like this. The tools are perfect, the feel is utterly Zen.
I could watch these videos forever, relaxing, interesting, always learning how much fun it is to create things, without hurrying into the store right away to buy them. Just love the Zen Garden tools
I loved the whole piece no complaints it’s really good for someone who works in the office and needs a mental break i think it’s perfect
I love this concept so much and I think it turned it great. I like that they are all distinct and unique yet all connected. Something similar on a larger scale would be awesome to see.
Love this!!! It’s so unique. Even the clear marbles were such a creative touch.
You are gifted in such a stunning way. So many beautiful slices of nature you have created. Thank you for sharing with us.
Just brilliant.. They look fantastic...
Beauty through imperfection. Love the use of material. KEEP IT UP TANNER!
You are gifted and amazing work of your hands.
Absolutely fantastic. I can’t believe how beautiful that turned out
I would buy this in heartbeat! Its so wonderfully made with much detail indeed.
This would make a lovely gift.
I always made mini tolls, backpacks when I was younger. I should get it a try again it was fun and cute
Fabulous❤ Had a zen garden long ago.. now I desire a wooden box to make one with again. Thank you!
So calming
12.14 am here but your videos are worth staying up for. I like the marbles to seal with- they blend in well. I like all 3 spheres pretty evenly but if I HAVE to choose I like the centre best.
This is absolutely the best moss terrarium i have seen
Your creativity and resourcefulness is magical. I'm always inspired by your ability to reuse and repurpose to create a work of art. 👏
I really love the one on the far left. The whole piece is amazing tho.
This looks amazing and the middle one was my favorite out of them.
This has to be my favorite so far, I will forever have a miniature zen garden on my plant shelf because of my aunt
Your creations are so inspiring, with each video I learn so much about improving my terrariums designs. Zen Garden was a first for me, but I love it.
This is incredible. Its perfect size. I love it
Your vision, talent and patience never seizes to amaze me 🍀🍃🌿🌾🌱☘
I feel nice and relaxed now 😌 the one on the left is my fave but they're all great! The DIY tools give such a great rustic feel
KZread randomly recommended this channel, and I'm happy that the algorithm actually worked out positively for once. I'd second that the center bulb was my favorite. I know Tanner was going for a forest look, but it really reminded me of how when you're approaching a beach, and the grass starts to give way to the sandy shoreline. Love it. Also, a lot of people sleep on how useful a solid wire is as a tool. Back during one of my old jobs, I considered it one of my best tools.
I think it’s beautiful! Everyone needs one. I can’t even tell you I was so chill just watching you make it. I enjoyed it very much!
I like all three for diff reasons, all gorgeous!!
Of course we have to watch all the way to the end! Gotta see the finished look!
never thought of zen garden terrarium..amazing!
Really incredible how much those marbles add to the design. Wouldn't be nearly as cute without those!
Absolutely stunning
I love it!! So beautiful and calming…
the one on the left is my favorite personally and I do love this theme of design.
By far my favorite terrarium yet! I think the first one is my favorite!
I like the last one, the moss one, best because of the little spider friend that managed to sneak its way inside there with the moss!
Incredible. ~ Where Inspiration meets Creation. Thank You Tanner🔥
I always wanted to see this types of terrarium. Thanks
Very nice! Three diverse but linked environments. Thank you! And Peace!
This is my favorite thing in the internet I would have never thought of any of this and the clear marbles!!! That was genius!!!
Super creative design! My new fave! Thank You!
This channel is 🔥. Years ago I made a couple sand Zen Gardens very similar to yours minus the terrariums. Wow this blows my mind. I like putting my favorite little rocks and crystals in the sand. Sometimes they get buried only to be found again. So much fun and relaxing. Thanks for sharing 👍
I enjoyed the look of the hardscape from the one to the left!
I think it's really beautiful and you don't need much space for it to make it a wonderful deco piece. I like the middle one best too as it reminds me of the German coasts with its sand and the sticks pointing upwards for the preservation of the sand and the plants from the wind. 😊👏
Everything about this piece is genius and beautiful. Truly inspiring!
You have amazing talent and patience. Your work is incredible!
Your creativity knows no bounds. I stayed til the end as I always do with your work. Thank you!
Simply LOVE it.
So awesome and creative! I loved how each bubble looked different.
The left one is definitely my favourite, but I love them all!
