Nice! I have an older K&N intake that doesn't fit the tube like that. Cravenspeed is just a short drive up the road, I may go visit them to see if I can get that new one. After having to clean the filter regularly, I bought a filter cover that keeps the heavy stuff out. I haven't detected any change in performance with that. ( K&N 22-8033PK Black Precharger Filter Wrap)

I honestly only drove it a few times before I had to trade the car in. There was a noticeable difference in noise but I can't say for sure with performance. Thanks!

I had a k/n in box in another 2 cars. I noticed some difference in the one with natural aspirated engine, but no difference in the one with turbo engine. Thanks. Enjoy the mini GP and please tell us how it´s like1

Gotcha. You could always swap it back out. Def not a permanent mod. But it is definitely a change to the engine characteristics

How did you secure the side wiring that was hanging freely? You didn't address that in the video

Ah sorry. A piece of electrical tape. By no means a permanent solution but it held up for the few months I had this on there.

Hey man idk what the odds are of you seeing this but where exactly and how did you install the mic to hear the engine and the turbo

Odds are good! I put a portable audio recorder(zoom H1N) in the engine bay and near the exhaust via the tow hook. In the engine bay it was just taped to the battery cover. The back exhaust was zip-tie the recorder to the tow hook.

It is stock. The JCW pro exhaust on the car I would say helps the sound a bit too :-)

Yes it will but if you have a 2019+ the MAF Sensor size is different (Smaller) then previous years

I had one of these. Sounds great but pulls in so much hot air even with that heat shield and lost performance over stock. Changed it for an eventuri intake instead.

I would check that airflow sensor and make sure it is seated correctly? Otherwise I don't know why it would have an light.

Seems like it just replaces a panel filter with a cone a filter. The stock system already has TWO veins with fresh air from outside. Stock system seems good already. I think i'd just go with a higher flowing panel filter. You could get the same result by cutting the top of the air box off, OR running a 3rd vein with some shop vac and cut a hole in the original air box.

Haha, trading cold air intake for hot air intake - great idea ! K&N is very good at marketing useless "upgrades"
