They added grappling hooks for an April fools joke. Considering how there was copper spleaves in the last April fools which are similar to the new copper grates, we could get grappling hooks, now that Mojang made the code to it however this is something that I should take a pinch of salt for.

why are april fools update better than the normal updates

Them take like 4 years to add 2 weapons, 3 mobs and 10 blocks to base game then casually pull a new dimension for April fools

There is one more clutch now. THE POTATO CLUTCH!!! by getting the potato grapple thingy (I forgot what it’s called) and jumping from high off the ground, and activating the grapple so it hits ground right before you do, it will save your fall! (Do not use potato boots while doing the clutch or the boots will save you and the grapple won’t)

I hate that the potato dimension actually looks cool. You could keep the colors and tweak the textures, get rid of the potato theme and it would make for a really nice alien world.

With this "update" we see that Mojang doesn't make incredible updates because they don't want to, this April fools update is better than 1.19, 1.20 and 1.21. 3 years of official updates manages to have fewer resources than a joke update probably made in a few months .

No it would not. Nothing is balanced properly, colors don’t fully go well together, and it’s all just reskins and using systems currently in the game. None of this makes any sense to be an update. If you think this should be an actual update then you’re the one with low standards. lol

with poisonus potato u can craft potato eyes that act like ender eyes, u follow them and u will find a pedestal, u rigth click the pedestal with poisunus potato and u have the portal
