The best part about this is that it doesn't rely on old minecraft betas or alphas like some other args and web series do, this isn't cheap nostalgia bait that turns into a generic good vs evil story (well, at least I hope it isn't, hopefully the last episode, should it actually come, doesn't pull a mark101). Amazing analysis too, it was in-depth enough that it actually made me think and come up with my own therories. Loved it!

what makes this scary to me is how the alternate herobrine just stalks Simon pretty much in every video, just observing, gathering information to use against him. like how he impersonates Angelo and acts completely different to the "real" angelo we saw earlier. like you said I'm pretty sure the ending is Simon realising the angelo in his game isn't his friend, so he restores his world to try and get his actual friend back which is hopefully where we get a part 2

I think it was a smart choice: this "entity" from Simon's point of view doesn't affect the real world nor any files besides the "beating the ender dragon" world, so getting spooked on your way to beat the ender dragon? Sure, fine, I can put up with it. It's a good subversion of the old trope of horror main characters getting into the mess anyway despite the spooks: in those instances, they usually have weak or no reasons to get themselves into terrifying territory and possibly even risk their lives. Here, getting spooked is no biggie in comparison to the achievement of beating the dragon and Simon has no reason to believe the "entity" can kill or hurt him, so why not put up with it and beat the dragon anyway? It'd make for a way past cool story to tell the whole 5th grade, too!

My current theory is that Angelo made the summoning shrine in order to give Simon that diamond block on his birthday. I say this because Simon mentions that shrine being a means to get "free diamonds." Maybe Angelo found the stronghold, built the shrine underneath, covered it with the spruce block so he'd know where to find it, and got the diamonds somehow from it while also bringing an entity into the world. He told Simon how to get to the stronghold and once there, gifted him the diamond block for his birthday. Perhaps after, he told Simon about the shrine, and SImon wished to get more "free diamonds" and built it himself.

My theory on both what the shrine does and why the entity came to life: when simon and angelo came to the stronghold only simon got the achievement meaning the pov we saw without bandicam was angelo building the shrine for he thought it was only for free diamonds but it was a wishing shrine that costs your worlds data and the shrine was for the entity. So after the shrine was built the entity came for its payment. Angelo or so we thought was angelo isnt him the only time angelo played minecraft was when simon needed a wallpaper for his pc, meaning that the angelo we were playing with was the entity himself

Well yes, but og Minecraft or just the old one in general was scarier due to how bare it was, it was so bare that it was unnatural, this is also the reason why I find java slightly more creepier than bedrock sometimes, bedrock just has a bunch of textures that make it more realistic, some special features too, such as the water color, in bedrock, the water in one area to the other has both a different texture and color sometimes, java only has one color and texture as far as I know, so yeah, you get my point

Simon deserve a whole anime of this bro is the bravest kid i ever seen fighting back for his world

I deleted that strange world cause i cannot enter in it, i was 9 when i did that videos and my friend didn't remembered that he entered in the world, I also thought that was impossible to enter in a single player world, my game crashed after i entered the last time in the world i recorded it but the recording is 13 seconds long and a lot dark. we created that story that you discovered (by adding the sound for mp4 for make that story more horror, so for discover all the videos about it you need to investigate)we did this video to scare our classmates, but they didnt understood nothing and you discovered a complete lore, but I was scared also for what i saw, then i discovered about herobrine and i was a lot more scared, i did some nightmares about it. That's all thank for show to the world what i saw.

Restoring a cursed world just to save a homie is wild but I respect it Simon even tried fighting the entity that’s really badass bro

I just wanna point something out that might be a bit interesting. So we know the fake Angelo acted as if he didn’t know about the lamp he was talking about, but I find this a bit strange. The reason I think this is because the herobrine alternative (who we assume to be the fake Angelo) knows the layout of Simon’s bedroom due to the “Simon says my base is my bedroom” sign, and yet the fake Angelo doesn’t know about this. A quick theory I have is that the Fake Angelo and Herobrine alternative might be different entities, who were working with eachother.

this Minecraft Arg is actually good, and actually made me invested unlike other args. Bravo

please make more of this I enjoyed this so much

The production quality was over the top and this whole thing was structured more cinematically than an arg explanation like how he waited til the end. i personally am not a detail seeker so i didnt notice angelo was diffrent or that there was something under the bed. the video was insane and i loved it keep it up.

If anyone wants to know what that is in the thumbnail its a mod called “The Mimic Dweller” Its a monster that spies on the player day and night and when you look at it, the monster chases you. It makes creepy sounds when it spawns and it stomps when its near. And yes if you are wandering it is killable, but it has around 300 hp so it will take a while and sadly its only on version 1.19.2

Wait i use bedrock so maybe it was originally called beating the ender dragon but he might be on java so there might be a feature to rename worlds

@@Goobuh-nv9kn You can rename worlds on Java, but it doesn't rename the folder. At 27:18, you can see the white name (the world name) and the gray name (the name of the folder the world is in) are both "beating the dragon". If I make a world named "New World", both the world and the folder will have that same name. If I decide to change it to "Old World", that just changes the white (world) name, while the gray (folder) name will stay "New World". Writing this out, I also realized that it's pretty odd that he manually moved his world to the recycle bin, instead of just using the "Delete World" button in MC. I guess it makes for a more interesting story, because the "Delete World" button doesn't let you recover it as easily.

@@RealDanteS01 maybe the recoverable nature of the file isn't an oversight in the story, it's plausible that simon might've wanted to recover the world in case he decided to re-continue the challenge from his old progress, but he ended up restoring it for the purpose of saving simon instead.
