I'm a civi, I was assaulted in front of my children resulting in breaking my back and wheelchair bound this happend in 2019 and I have suffered from severe depression and anxiety, the person was never caught and like you say the charities are s%£t and don't help at all. I would never begin to understand how bad your cptsd is and I thank you and others for service and sacrifice. My grandfather was in ww2 and was first was wave on d-day and I always wanted to serve but made the wrong decision and never did. Thank you for sharing

Ever look into a weighted blanket? Heard that it simulates another persons bodyweight while you're asleep which is supposed to help with some anxious sleepers. Never tried it myself, I hope you find a fix and am sorry you deal with that. Took me forever to start sleeping right again after a nervous break. Ambien may help you but beware, it will make you sleep walk/drive/cook/destroy relationships. Worked for me for a while then it started killing any truly "restful" sleep I was getting because it was more like sedation at that point. But again, wish you well man.

I can’t imagine what this man has been through and seen , yes he’s taken lives but it’s people that would take his life if they had the chance , I have depression but compared to what he’s been through it’s nothing, I salute you sir 🫡

There is very little help for those who've left the Armed Forces, post deployment. As stated in the vid, PTSD from forces deployment is totally different to what civilian PTSD is. But for forces personnel there is a total lack of support. Been there, done it

The support for ptsd is shit because it predominantly affects men. Support for men is shit because it always has been. Its changing slowly tho.

It sucks, was a coo for 29 years. Not sleeping for 4 or 5 days, the nightmares, blackouts. You see only so much death and being injury .you withdraw from people and things .

Got it from being in a knife fight during an acid trip. Bloke came through the door to rob me mates car, I thought nah fuck that. All of a sudden I’m in a kitchen wrestling a fucking knife away from him. It’s wild because I’ll just be going about my day and BOP all those feelings come back and it’s like I’m reliving it. Hope you get better mate ✌️

PTSD is way different if you developed it serving. It’s relatad on what you have seen and done, but also on you haven’t done too. Those who served will understand that.
