and whats so amazing is he easily could've continued playing bop from the 40's and 50's....but here he is .. a 43 year old established jazz legend, and he's fully embracing electronic music and incorporating rock and funk and all other styles of music to literally create a totally new style of music. Legend is an understatement!!!!!!

oh yeah , Miles understood, he was a very modern guy as in Marcel Duchamp, Picasso Robert Motherwell, Tesla, John Cage.

Sounds like the scene is Rosemary's Baby when she "escapes" in the elevator in a panic and then goes into labor- delivering the Devil's son...trills, shakes, and tremolos. "It's about that time." Miles is a master.
Miles davis ,grande entre los grandes,su legado quedo plasmado.
RIP, chick Correa and plenty of more I didn't know his condition was getting fair worse but I give my best effort for someone who is pushing to fight and he made it through it. Jesus thank us.

Why? support your argument. First, what value does jazz have? Why is it enjoyable? Interesting? Something I should spend even two minutes listening to? And then compare and contrast to all other jazz greats why he alone is the master.

This is the memorable Chick Corea for me - emotionally real and convincing, more than any of his work as leader I've heard. Same for Keith Jarrett, also as sideman with MD, same period.

Brilliant stuff. Miles Davis was incredible.
Dave Holland had my teeth hurting with some of the sounds he brought out of the bass with that bow. Lol
La liberté et l'exploration à leurs maximum !!^^ ;)
I would buy a whole album of Corea-Holland interplay.

Sincerely, if i play the saxophone i will sound exactly like the guy who plays it in the video. Thus, i am a musical genious!
someone forgot to turn on the bassist!
I don't think they were ready to play with the piano player exactly inscale inscription.
I keep trying to get I to Jazz every so often and then hear something like this. Those cymbals are just horrid sounding, cheap like a kids drum set and crashing all over the other music. Then the sax at 4:30 ish makes me wonder if they are taking the p****. It is like a nightmare and absolute relief when switched off. I love so many types of music and hate people stay pigeon holed in genres but jazz like this not only eludes me but could push a man to the edge lol. Good for you who enjoy or at least pretend. Oh good lord, just hearing the keyboard bit at 8:15 ish. My nan can play better and with a nice tune, she' been dead 2 decades :)

I think you need to understand the context of the period this was recorded. The free jazz that chick, Dave and Jack were playing together …. They were pushing boundaries and not every moment is golden but … BUT the comment about your Nan is just plain ignorant. You may not appreciate the music these guys were playing at this time but if you knew anything you would know that each of them was already an established master of their instrument. Each one of these musicians has become a legend in jazz and in the case of Miles and Wayne, the entire spectrum of music

Actually the music that they're playing is extremely difficult to do. They are displaying their complete mastery of their instruments.
Why are you guys showcasing this segment? It's terrible; w/ some of the audience clapping just 'cuz he's Miles Davis. Are you guys trying to make him look bad? This is like showing bad photos of someone. "It's the lights.." Couldn't listen any further than 4:00. ... oh, Happy New Year's Day, btw.
