Miles Davis

Miles Davis

The official KZread channel for Miles Davis.

Known for his gorgeous, lyrical tone as a trumpeter, Miles Davis was also the most radically innovative jazz artist of the post-war era. After working with Charlie Parker in the late '40s, Davis launched his prolific career as a bandleader. In the '50s, he pioneered cool jazz and hard bop, and the lush improvisations of 1959's Kind of Blue launched a modal jazz revolution. Pushing the complexity of acoustic jazz to its limit in the early '60s, he pioneered jazz fusion on 1970's Bitches Brew, mixing jazz, rock, and funk into a fiery electric sound he'd explore until his death in 1991.

The "to" in the title is ungrammatical. It's not necessary in the subjunctive mood.

That’s a shame, this is a beautiful record and the rap definitely works on it. The spoken word song is beautiful as well. But just like with Bitches Brew, you can’t please everyone.

Moving forward after the late Bob Belden, this in my opinion, bring these projects into crystal clarity projects. I love seeing & hearing Cindy Santana perform with James B. Ulmer, with the late Badal Roy, & all the other great artists within this project. Thanks. When I first heard Airto on Miles' "Live / Evil, I wanted to play like Airto. I made instruments out of glass & beans. Only when they fell & broke, did I understand that instruments are to be made practical.😊
