"It's just stupid. It doesn't mean it's not going to work, stupid things work all the time, that doesn't mean it's not stupid." Just a great quote.
Imagine being a large shareholder and being told "we have $500mil in cash but we're not going to pay any dividends but we're going to invest in something not related to the business. On your behalf. Thank us later"

Great take. Lol. Clearly you did zero research at the time because that’s not how it went down at all.
Your podcast is a very necessary voice in the crypto space.

It’ll echo in your nightmares
What you described happening with Microstrategy reminds me of a very early banking innovation in New York City, where in order to get around Alexander Hamilton's banking friends who wouldn't allow an anti-Federalist bank to get off the ground, Aaron Burr started a water company and essentially wedged it into the shape of the bank that eventually became Chase Manhattan. This wasn't really great for either Manhattan's water or the banking industry, but it does go to show that when regulators don't get ahead of demand, people will flock to the first person who can get them there, even when that's a terrible idea.
Mr. Saylor’s not a zealot, he’s an adrenaline junky/addict. If it wasn’t Bitcoin, it would be some other form of gambling.
Loving the cutaways/context clips. Great episode

Thank you!
Props on the title and the historical context... Saylor is a beautiful microcosm of the leveraged debt and equity that was able to buy bitcoin and altcoins on the backs of investors and VC funds ... this applies to the entire cryptosphere
The editing was hilarious in this one! Keep it up guys, hope Cas' move to his new studio goes smoothly!

I left a comment a while back about asking you guys to add video, love the new shows! Thank you for that!
What part of "there is no second best" do you guys not understand... clearly Michael is using his new role on the board to be a true Fiduciary!

Great video. I appreciate the insight on his past. I would love a follow up video whenever BTC hits a new ATH.

Saylor's strategy remains unchanged- as Bitcoin makes new lows, he makes more appearances promising major gains "later". The only thing supporting crypto now is the whales and their predictable promises. When those stop, there is no bottom.
There is no second sh#t!!!😵💫
Was gonna say you overused that clip of Saylor and should have found an alternative one... but I guess there was no second best.

We’re talking about doing a XRP episode in the future, it has a complicated history and is tied up in a bunch of litigation so is not a clean story, but does seem important
Michael Saylor's following is astounding. This guy is a walking logical fallacy. You can tell there is something wrong with this guy once he opens his mouth.
Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy is a MacroTragedy.
This aged tremendously well. 😂
I could never figure out why people were buying Microstrat stock. Id never heard of Saylor or his company before he bought bitcoin.

it is psychological: The thief wants to get caught, when he attempts a great heist, so he gets notorious for being a great thief. They want the fame more than the money in some way, though it brings them big trouble.
This episode & its headline didn’t age well eh?
well, he is up over 2 billion, what a flucking tragedy lmao

I agree 100% that Saylor is bad for BTC long term. He’s a centralising influence for an otherwise decentralised network. This video was a necessary antidote to the Saylor worship expressed by YT channels like InvestAnswers (aka InverseAnswers given the opposite of his market calls have occurred this far)
this title lmao

22:37 Bragging. Guys. That's the most human thing. In our existance we want to find or communicate our world-view. The same way you run your channel. Which makes the Satoshi Nakamoto case all the weirder. Even if you don't brag, you leave a lot of traces. So big governments 100% know who Satoshi is. I'd love if you could investigate that further or at least try to rule out Paul Le Roux involvement / financing.

We talk about PLR in our most recent episode
Well... BTC goes up and Saylor is rich as fuck i guess.
Does he have to eventually cash out through Microstrategy though? Or can he create an offshore company/account and cash out there? And would anyone know if he has tapped out? Do we have all his wallet addresses? This just wreaks of a scam. Aside from his accounting shenanigans everytime I have listened to him on KZread I find him stupendously dumb. I don’t think he actually fully even understands Bitcoin.
but Saylor gets the bitcoin right :|
Did this guy just slurp in the mic like that in the first 10 seconds
He behaves like a gambling addict in a casino who believes that he has a winning system playing with other people's money.
tax evasion? thats why there is bitcoin you guys are too young
If BTC drops any lower it’s a rebrand to MicroPenisStrategy
Don't trust people who don't have an upper lip

I really appreciate the counter argument to Mr Saylors but I also need to suggest you guys are study up a little more before you start stating points like you know they handed down from ip high. There is a lot to a publicly traded company - there is a lot to adding value - and lastly everyone is trying their best to avoid paying tax so be careful your not in a glass house throwing stones
