kaka s career got ruined when he went to real madrid, premier league couldv been better for a high pace player like him, also the injuries did their part.. also got shadowed by cr7.. they were too many stars in one club, so there is no way it couldv worked, but still he is one of the best to have ever touch the ball, that for sure.. it just not easy to be in the same era of cr7 n messi... they made a lot of legends looks just "good" or even "super good" but not legends.. i mean the list is too long... kaka .. iniesta..xavi , pirlo.. ibra.. neymar... ronnie , modric , mo salah, Samuel etoo, drogba... and the list go on... it surely an era full of legends... i didnt mention ronaldino .. cuz he got the title of legend anyway.. and if he had the discipline like cr7 n messi, i bet he is better than them by far in terms of pure talent.. but he was just having fun... never played seriously.. lack of training n so on.. still the most spectacular player in history

I think Zidane is highly understimated because a lot of his skills, can't be shown in highlghts or stats. You can't show how much, he made his teamates better or the way he controled the tempo of a game through Highlight. Has time goes on we tend to forget how great he was and that he was considered the best player in the World for extend period of time.

I don' know how many comments I have seen people saying is not top 10 of all time. because of his stats. Some crucial part of Zidanne game isn't highlight material; like Vision, controlling tempo, showing up in big games, Zidane highlghts are great but there only a small sample of what actually made him the best player in the world for an extended periof of time.

He’s rated so highly because he’s a clutch player, but at club football, him - like Ronaldinho - only has 2-3 unreal seasons.

Gerrard is a complete midfielder. He had everything, played all across the midfield and was consistent throughout his career. Even Madrid wanted him and he stayed loyal.

Its all down to opinion and what kind of system they're playing in, if its a Pep or Klopp system with the ball playing GK with good distribution then Neuer is obviously the best choice, if its one of the older systems then Buffon or Casillas would be good choices aswell.

Respect for choosing Buffon. He is simply the greatest goalkeeper of all time. He was the best UCL keeper in at least a few different seasons, including the 3 years he went to the final, he brought Juventus there. He even saved 2 Milan penalties in the 2003 final shootout. As a keeper you can’t be expected to do much more than that after 5 penalties. His team let him down in all 3 finals. Additionally, in 2006 he was the WC champion, best keeper in the world BY VERY FAR when Juventus went down to Serie B. Every team wanted him, especially Barcelona to replace Valdes. He could’ve easily went on to win multiple UCL, but he chose to stay. Have to respect it

refs give far more free kicks now a days for the softest of tackles, and that's coming from someone in early 20s. You had to be a fighter back then in the prem. Son is a great player, but he wouldn't survive.

Technical play? Have you seen the premier league now? Players can no longer control the ball, pick a pass, pick a head in a cross, the technical ability of players have dropped dramatically since the mid to late 2000s when they started choosing players and youth players on physical characteristics and not playing ability. The level of skill is Sunday league compared to teams 20 years ago they can’t even run at speed with the ball without hard touches these days. Baffling comment.

Gerrard can play the role of busquets or seedorf or pirlo or kaka on the tactical side of things. We have seen him play like all of them at moments in the game. Plus a box-to-box endless energy, consistent worldies and crunching tackles, defends well and less injury prone. He could do it all. (i know its coming....can slip also!)

Owen was massively overhyped. He never reached the 20 goal mark in the league at any point in his career. He wasn't even the best striker at Liverpool - that was Fowler, a striker who actually scored goals. As for Gerrard being in that team when Modric exists; ridiculous.

Liverpool flogged him to death whilst he was still growing. As a teenager and then injury after injury but when fully fit before his knee injuries he was up there with the best . At 17 years old he was playing constantly such a shame he wasn't taken care of.

His prime just came early. He was one of the best strikers from ages 17/25 that's a long time at the top and was ok at real Madrid 13 in 36 games whilst being used as sub mainly and new country. And he the tenth highest scorer in the premiership with a great ratio which would of been better if it ended a Liverpool.Not a what if at all agreat career

This list makes zero sense without Modric. What happened when Modric was injured in 15. It's after he arrived team started winning. @@turnitupbruh So?? So what..That 11 final they played that well but that's one important game. Modric had decent performances in important games throughout UCL,, both attack and defence. His contributions in 5 UCL victories was so good and he played all well ,, not just some legendary performances. Xavi didn't play 06 final and was sub in 2015 UCL . In two victories 09,11 his role was crucial. Iniesta made difference in 06 and was part of next 3 including an motm in 15. But none of them can claim what Modric did in all 5 UCL. If it's UCL then Modric> Iniesta> Xavi. His absense in 15 UCL Semi and Frankie outperforming him in 19 UCL r16 etc shows how important he is for RM .

Mental how good and highly rated michael Owen was in the late 90s early 2000s. He was defo one of the best strikers that has ever been. His speed his finishing how sharp he was. Remember watching the Arsenal V Liverpool FA cup final in 2001. When FA cups were actually appreciated you know when U2s a beautiful day was on match of the day and you used to sit and watch it on a sat night when TV was good and Love island and all that shit would have been cringed at. You ask the up and coming generation I bet they don’t even know who Michael Owen is. They will just say it’s that boring fucker from Chester who can’t pundit. Shame. Gotta echo this. I do agree he's far from the best pundit. But if you were old enough to remember him playing at his best, he was electric. That hat trick against Germany in 2001 will stay with me forever, we were beaten and staying at home for summer 2002 wc to hear them all talk. Then he turns up at their own place and destroys them. Him and Becks got us to that tournament. Even if it did fall short as per usual with England, we almost never went at all.

R9 is the greatest striker of all time. Unmatched dribbling and ball control skill set, excellent speed, right foot and positioning in and outside the box. He was the perfect striker. However, all those facets cannot be used to discredit Messi or Ronaldo. Both have shadow aspects of Ronaldo, but at varying levels. More importantly, the killer mentality. Scoring hatricks in high pressure games and the never die attitude is what puts them above R9 and other great strikers.

Van Basten was better than R9 both technically and also elegance wise. People forget Van Basten but he was the best striker. Messi is the greatest of all time, no one compares to Messi, doing it for nearly 15 years is insane, so Messi is the vest.

All due respect to Stevie G, but there are simply better CMs… Zidane, Iniesta, Xavi, Modric, etc. Not really fair to compare goals to Modric - Modric was not asked to score. Madrid had the likes of Ronaldo, Benz, Bale, Vinicius, etc up front. Modric’s job was to control the game, and he was and is an absolute master at it.

I'm okay with not picking Casillas as the goalkeeper if this was not for an all time champions league XI, but in my humble opinion he has to be in the team. First of all he the most clean sheets in the champions league (also the most cleen sheets in 21st century as a whole), holds the record for most selections in world 11 alongside Buffon and Neuer with 5. He has 3 champions league wins to Buffons 0 and Neuers 2. I think it's debetable in the big picture who was the better between Buffon and Casillas, but when picking an all time XI for champions league specifically and not an all time XI in the history of football, I think you have to go with Casillas. The fact that Buffon didn't win it, has to count against him and the fact that they played more or less the same amount of seasons in the champions league as first choice goalkeepers for their respective clubs but Casillas made 177 appearences to Buffons 124, should make the choice clear especially considering they are the two goalkeepers with the most appearences in the champions league and Casillas has that many more appearences than Buffon on top of winning it 3 times to Buffons 0 (even though Buffon made 3 finals). So honestly anytime Casillas is not picked in an all time champions league XI, I consider it a disgrace to San Iker's legacy.

From your comment, I assume you choose Casillas mainly based on abilities and stats. Others might not think so. The same reason why many people will choose Ronaldinho in their CL team despite the fact that his CL career, while impressive, is far from the best.

For the record I'm definitely biased towards Casillas, as I grew up watching the original galaticos and became a madrista in my early years (I was a goalie aswell myself). Sure some might pick for instant Ronaldinho in their XI, but honestly he wouldn't even belong in the conversation. Yes, he was tremendous, but I feel when it's competition based, you have to account for accolades, even if your opinion is that you prefer another player than the one you want to pick. But that's jist the way I see it if you don't agree, the keep thinking that I'm overreacting and good day to you sir.

He missed a massive game against Juventus through injury with madrid up on aggregate and favourites to win the CL. Without Ronaldo Juventus won and real went out. I think that was the closest he came and madrid missed him badly that night.

My GK and whole defense were exactly the same as Michael’s. Cafu is incredible with Dani Alves close second in my opinion at right back. Midfield I would switch gerrard with busquests then move busquests to CDM and move xavi up next to Iniesta. Top two strikers: Messi and CR7. Enough said. Let me know what you think. Curious what others think. Henry single handedly carried a pretty mediocre Arsenal team to the final against Ronaldinho's Barcelona and even in 10 men it was pretty competitive, Barca barely won. Lewa is carrying the Polish team by himself as well, prime Lampard was almost perfection. Pirlo in my opinion was the best ever in terms of long passing. Puyol probably the best in terms of being a captain ever. The team in the video is much better statistics wise, but let's not forget that Ronaldo and Messi made history in a time where other teams didn't really have amazing players, whilst during 2000-2010 or around that time, almost all teams had amazing players, football was way more contested and teams were way more balanced in terms of talent

@@Romans8-9 34 is a decent age especially for a goalkeeper playing for a top club like Real Madrid. Buffon could play on because he played in a league with generally older players. Serie A is like a retirement hub for all players. Casillas retired aged 39, at Porto. Whereas VDS retired at 40. Not much in it if you ask me. And of the two Casillas had a better career. I have no issues with Buffon being on that list, but say VDS was better than Casillas becuase he was better at practise is bs. Similarly saying Casillas's career fizzled out early is also bs

Gerrard was the greatest box to box midfielder of all time gerrard used to be clear in individual awards - in 2015 he was in the uefa team of the 21st century with xavi & iniesta. His lack of longevity is why he’s so underrated.

Owen is an idiot. There is no way Buffon will be ahead of Cassilas. Also the midfield trio of Modric, kroos and casimero is hard to ignore. Collectively no other midfeild can match them.

Terrific team but could be too soft. I reckon there is a chance this team could work because ramos and maldini are so phisical and good they can count as 3 players. But you do need another dog and i would replace gerard with an aggressive dm.
