Maguire tried to characterise it as a freak comeback, which was completely disingenuous. United have done this time and time again this season. I say this as a United fan, about 4 players aside, I despise this group. Just a bad bunch of professionals. Ten Hag's time is undoubtedly up now but to capitulate in that manner time and time again, in positions of complete control is on the lads playing as much as the man in the dugout.

Ole stated on the Overlap podcast that some of his players were refusing to do interviews after the game. Bruno and Harry were two who would always go up, regardless of how bad the performance was. I'm no fan of Harry, most of the goals we concede can be blamed on him but at least he stands up to take the ribbing.

I'm a United supporter and at the end I was cheering for Coventry. They showed more grit in that match than the United players. A serious clear out is needed.

I don't believe that Rashford was truly injured when he walked off. It was a cowardly move in a time where they needed character. We need a serious offload in the summer.

A dear friend of mine was a massive lifelong Man U fan. He died from cancer last Thursday aged 56. He once told me that he couldn't believe his beloved Man U were so dismal, and gave him no joy in his last months on earth. He was buried today, an hour before kick-off.

100% another great example now i won't lie i was happy they Lost but it was such a huge mistake what they did after Luke Shaw scored the opening goal they should have gone for the Juggler to finish off Italy instead they just camped and sat back let them get back into the game by the time Italy got their Equalizer the whole balance of the game had shifted Italy had the Momentum and England were on the backfoot granted in Extra time England had a great spell but it's too little too late by then you would have thought espicaly after that match teams would have woken up and learned from that but no they didn't it's still happening 3 years later

It's embarrassing that UTD went from 3-0 in 70 minutes to decide the game from penalties. UTD couldn't even defend last 15 - 20 minutes even after Coventry's second goal. It's a real embarrassment. What a comeback from Coventry they really played well and they deserved to be in the final more than UTD that's my opinion.

Sat in the pun and watched this with a mate who supports MU and he hates rashford and wanted Coventry to win just to have the season done. VAR killing the joy of football.

Funny thing is that this is not new. We’ve done this with; Liverpool 4-3 (W) Copenhagen 4-3 (L) Galatasaray 3-2 & 3-3 (L) & (D) Bayern Munich 4-3 (L) Chelsea 4-3 (L) Now Coventry 3-3 So I’m not surprised. If there’s any I’ve missed, feel free to add it in.

It’s not new, and we shouldn’t be shocked anymore, but even after all of those results - I was still shocked today. It’s unbelievable . Against Coventry ffs. I know the penalty decision was debatable but their management of a game is consistently atrocious, and the subs from ten haag, I just don’t understand at all. Rashford was absolutely terrible all game, all he did was recieve the ball, do nothing with it and then either give it a way or pass it backwards.

What I love about Royston Maurice Keane is that he talks a lot of sense he's experienced , a great leader , never gave up and a superb Captain from a Manchester City fan.

I know Roy Keane hates how Manchester United players are so media trained in these interviews and I can imagine if he was playing for United right now he would be as honest about the performances as he is now. I do wonder what would be the reaction of social media to his blunt honesty if they perform the way they do this season? I feel like in the past he can get away with being cutthroat because United were constantly winning all the time.

right,i'm a lifelong coventry supporter,went to my first game in 1970,and i can speak for all coventry fans when i say i'm proud of my team..they did what we expect,they never gave up,they kept going..we've have our bad years and we're soon to get back to where we should be,and thats in the premier league terrorising those tender south americans and africans who think they only have to turn up to win.our fans were magnificent,were united fans even there?..and your team was a disgrace,only harry maguire came out of it with any credit,after the shoot out he was a true gent who shook every coventry players hand,on the other hand anthony is stealing a living,he wouldn't get into that coventry side,he'd struggle to get into a league 1 side..at the end the coventry players went to the fans,all had stayed,theres a connection between the team and fans...united tried a lap of honour but red cockneys,geordies,brummies etc had long gone..what a joke..even though we went out we taught you a football lesson today

Being a Man United fan for 44 years, I genuinely felt disappointed for the Coventry lads and their fans today when Hojlund scored his winning penalty. It didn't feel like a victory at all. Coventry City should really be in the final after that capitulation by some of the most highly paid professional footballers in the world. I did not celebrate when Hojlund scored his winning penalty - embarrassment and anger were my most overriding emotions. Utd were very lucky to sneak to the final. These players almost embarrassed my beloved club by not keeping a 3-goal lead for around 20 minutes to see the game out against a lower-ranked team and that (to me, at least) is unforgivable. Coventry City's players showed through their sheer belief, hard work and determination that Utd are mentally weak and don't truly understand what it takes to be a Manchester United player. They simply don't realise that EVERYBODY wants to beat Manchester United and they will try even harder than Utd's players to make that happen! Many of Utd's players should actually be playing for teams in the Championship or lower and definitely NOT not in the Premier League. I think it has also shown INEOS and Sir Jim that they have a HUGE job to do in shipping many of these very average players out of the club. Well done to Coventry City and their fans for making it such a great spectacle for the FA Cup and neutral fans as well and good luck for the rest of the season.

We were bombed in the 40’s and lost all our big factories in the 80’s….lost our beloved ground in 05 and got rented out to Birmingham and Northampton. ( Thank you neighbours) Our flag has a Phoenix rising from the ashes for a reason. This City never quit. P.S. nod to a much mis aligned Harry Maguire…he gave 100% and was a true gentleman after the whistle.

Ten haag has not got the killer instinct needed at the elite manager level. Smell blood and go for the kill . Instead he brings players off and this type of game has happened so many times under his tenure

Maguire has got alot of stick over the years but I believe he is a man of integrity, he has his weaknesses , like all players but he gives it his best. If other players with more talent put as much effort, Utd would be doing alot better.

He’s slow and predictable with his passing patterns. But other than that he’s fine. Lucky so many players are injured that he can step in. But he’s not exactly top quality like previous top United centre halves.

It’s so do with what the ref’s on-field decision is. The one in the Chelsea game wasn’t given, so they didn’t overturn it. Had it been given by the ref, no doubt they would have let it stand like this one

I'm a utd fan , i started watching the game looked at some of the players on ridiculous corporate money and then just turned it off and went for a walk and forgot about the game completley, couldnt care less anymore.

Utd fan here. Coventry deserved it 100%. Its the 1st time I did not celebrate a semi final win A lot of players need to be moved on and fresh hungry ones brought in. I'll take 5/6/7/ years of growth for the team to become a challenger for a cup or title than this dross served up since Fergie left. Mourinho was right. His biggest achievement was getting Utd to 2nd place.

God I love Keano! I wish we could find a young version of him to add to this team! He'd get these slacker losers in shape in NO TIME. The only players Utd has on their team right that are even somewhat like Keane most of the time are: Martinez, Dalot and Hojlund. Those 3 guys are about the only ones that show fight, grit and a burning desire to win. Just like Keane said, there are NO LEADERS on this team, and even if there was, 50-75% of the rest of the team wouldn't even care or listen to them. There are just SOOO many sorry losers on this Utd team. Remember when Ronaldo came back. And he probably had some of the best advice on how to be the best player you can possibly be?!?! And guess how many players actually listened to him?!?! Elanga, Dalot and Garnacho might be it. Everyone else thought they were too cool for school and shunned the GREATEST player of all time and his amazing advice, hahaha. And I bet you Maguire and Rashford were the two most defiant idiots about that advice. If that doesn't show you how pathetic and un-coachable this sorry lot is, then I don't what else to say. INEOS has a MASSIVE job ahead of them over the next 3-5 transfer windows if they think they're going to get Utd back in the top 4, let alone near the top. They have a LOOOOOONG way to go. Keano knows it, Ferdinand knows it, Scholes knows it. EVERYONE knows it.

Under Sir Alex I used to feel proud even when we lost (especially the FA final against Arsenal in 2005), but with this win, I find Ten Hag and his guys have been saved from a huge embarrassment.

So glad Keane went specifically on the players, ten hag will get criticism and rightfully so but these players have no character about them at all. The game demonstrated that you fight until the game is won. And that's just a mentality the players don't possess

Also Fernandez sored a conceded goal . Touched the inner leg of the defender and changed the direction of the shot where the goalkeeper was already going to!! So exactly the same with the 2nd goal of Coventry . So do not complain !

It was not offside The VAR decision was made to create an outcome that favours money/profits. The goal being allowed to stand because it was level would have a decision that benefited the legacy of this fantastic cup competition. How far will VAR be taken? Should we have microscopes detecting if a single cell of animal hide on the leading edge of a players boot is a fraction of a nanometer offside? The decision was corrupt, and constitutes match fixing at the highest level. And I support Utd!

Myself & many others have been proven wrong by Maguire this season. I still wouldn't have him first choice, but I think he's earned his place in next season's squad

@@user-rn5hc2mq6b yea granted but at the end of the day when a team doesn't perform the manager will get the blame that's always how it's been in football if the players are not good enough you need to ruthlessly clean house which is something ETH didn't do in the last summer transfer market the guys he did bring in a washed up Jonny Evans .... Mason Mediocre and Rasmus Hojulund who could be a good player if he could get the service KDB gives the City guys but right now we don't have the team to properly utilize him so in honesty the writing was on the wall before the season even began we needed serious reinforcements on our defense and midfield we got exactly nothing to help that for ETH to survive another season he needs to get rid of at least 8 players and replace them with better guys
