@iconoclast Any Indians left in America? Aboriginies in Austrailia? Inka? Though i know there is a difference, the thing is to move forward instead of backwards pointing fingers is easy (where i am from indigenous ppl have had a rough time through the ages as well - just dosen't help to stay mad at what our ancestors did)

Actually searched German Stand up comedy because foreign comedy is my way of learning their language, just like how that Paul guy made me stomach learning a bit of French. As a filipino, I always incorporate comedy in almost everything to make life easier and today, I did not expect to learn that Germans don't do comedy. This vid is funny tho.

We Germans have comedy? We have quite a lot of comedy.. don’t know how u were searching for ur answers 😅 Nonetheless it’s as great way to learn a language. Once u understand jokes ur start to know a language.

There is quite a lot of comedy however most is rather mediocre. What is great however is German satire (though due to the nature of satire holding a jester's mirror to ones' face hard to get for foreigners)

German stand-up sounds like the example used in every sitcom where a character is bad at stand-up.

This guy isn't very representive of German stand up comedy. There are WAY better guys than him, he's just one of the most successful ones.

The best jokes r in German, definitely. And German is not my mother language.

Most Canadians live on a latitude lower than that of Berlin. Either his wife is an American with a German accent or she is just confused.....

Yea German humor is awesome. I nearly smoked once!

Many Germans are funny. He’s just a shit comedian.

Not funny. Germans do not seem funny when you tell them jokes and they dont laugh - as they translate the English jokes into German language first - and the joke is lost in translation. And when we tell a joke fo a foreigner - it is the same because we suck at English like Michael who lived half a year in America and still looks Hollywood movies while the rest of Americans watch them. And why are we so bad? Well once we rule the world, you all will speak German - so there is not really a big need to learn English properly.

He is terrible...

Setting aside the fact that intelligence is demonstrated in a plethora of varying ways (i.e., not all smart people choose a life of politics) it's impossible to adequately quantify. oh no. as an American i can agree that the vast majority of us are incredibly stupid.

I this is the height of German comedy, Im glad Im not German.

Ein Deutscher catering to our passive agressive Kanadian neighbors by making fun of Americans, saying things he would probably never have the nerve to say to an American audience. Which bugs me more, the superior attitude of the faux polite Kanadians, or the faux funny comedian who exploits the prejudices of the two-faced* Kanadians? * Kanadians are always telling themselves and the ganze Weld they are too polite. Try living in an American city that suffers from too many Kanadian shoppers, or listening to their public and private conversations when they think no outsiders are over hearing them....
