This is so adorable! I'm on student exchange in Germany, and I really don't know why Germans have a reputation for being humourless. They're quite witty. I love this!

I have a degree in German literature and have studied all periods of it from the Baroque period (when the language was still in flux) to the present, and throughout history, there have not been many humorous writers in Germany. The few that existed were Jewish and they did not remain. Germans do have their own sense of humor (and I am mostly German heritage), but it is usually rather lame, compared to other cultures, such as the English. They are slowly beginning to catch up, however, but this is only fairly recently. My German relatives have no sense of humor at all.

Sowas muss man erstmal draufhaben, als Jemand, dessen Muttersprache nicht Englisch ist, vor genau einem solchen Publikum aufzutreten. Respekt!

Can a guy in a wheelchair become a stand-up comedians?

The "postbox" thing made me giggle, not because I found it incorrect but because I find that everyone laughed because it was different than what they are used to hearing.

You've made me a believer that Germans can truly be funny. I grew up for my first seven years in Bitburg and would love to one day go back. It was so clean, when I came over to the Bronx NY I experienced culture shock. It felt like I moved to a loud evil place. I'll never forget it but great job,Danke shun!

i live in switzerland this guy reminds of my german friends, they have an exact same english accent. And i loved your jokes it was funnier in your accent and time by time you asked the audience what is it in english hilarious.

Really good performance :) Stumbled on your video by accident. Very funny :D As an English person living in Germany suffering some of the regular German humour, yours was such a surprise and refreshing. Good stuff.

This guy is adorable. And brave. His comedy is spot on. It's not easy to bridge the cultural/linguistic humor differences between German and American. But he does it. Bravo. And yes, he's funny. Thank you!

Respekt, dass du dich herangetraut hast den amerikanischen Humor zu treffen. Ist ja, wie man sieht gut gelungen. Ich glaube, gerade weil du den deutschen Akzent so hervorgehoben hast kam es erst richtig gut an. Denn ich glaube, dass die Amerikaner einen solch frischen und witzigen Auftritt nicht erwartet haben.

Small audience close to the stage somehow always has them laughing hysterically at anything. People shout things up at performer and we all feel closer and bonded together. Comedy gives the impression of being funnier than it actually is.

True. Sometimes hard to tell. Look for a quiet voice and red face. He kind of had both but hard to tell!

Der Typ hat bestimmt 4.700 mal so viele Zuschauer auf YT gehabt wie da in echt saßen haha.

Ich bin kein Mensch, der leicht zum Lachen gebracht werden kann, und ich mag deutsche Comedians, wie z.B. Mario Barth und diese Leute die bei RTL auftreten überhaupt nicht, denn die sind 1. stressig und 2. ziehen sie meist über irgendwelche Leute her und nennen das dann Humor, aber DU hast es geschafft mich echt zum Lachen zu bringen und dein und dein Auftritt war einfach EPISCH! Danke dafür!!! :)

Wir (ich und meine Familie) hatten einen ganzen Monat lang kein W-Lan und mussten drei mal beim Kundencenter anrufen, bis wir überhaupt eine Antwort erhalten haben. Das Fake-Lebkuchenherz war nur die Spitze des Eisbergs. PS: Echt klasse auftritt! Einfach grandios.

Ella Alexander dreimal(???) beim kundencenter von O2 angerufen und tatsächlich ne ANTWORT bekommen.bis wir w-lan hatten,hat die TELEKOM ein dreiviertel JAHR gebraucht.zwischendurch hatten wir 4-7 sogenannte "techniker"im und vorm haus.jahrelang vorher hatten wir änliches rumtelefonieren bei debitel.am besten,man fährt sofort selbst mit´m auto vor ort und schlägt direkt KRACH !!!!! =)

Ella Alexander debitel hab ich gewechselt.da ich "damals"heftig lange arbeiten mußte und tagsüber keinen von der tkom(außer übers handy anrufen WOLLTE/zu teuer)isses bei der tkom geblieben.alle anderen anbieter laufen sowieso übers telekomkabel(ausser "kabel deutschland"),was es bei uns nicht gibt.

the laughs in the beginning sound so staged, i thought i was watching seinfeld for a second. anywho, not my type of humour. way too flat. And don't you think it's weird to post a video of yourself claiming to "rock the audience". I mean, be a little more humble, even if you did get good reactions on this one. Good luck to you in the future, but for my part, i felt uncomfortable watching this, because it was genuinely unfunny to me. And as mentioned before, the laughs are so hysterical and weird, it just sounded like they were either tripping on shrooms or straight up paid in advance.

+Squaresoundz maybe they were laughing at the beginning, because they understood the propositions-gag. Oher than that, of course they were tripping on shrooms. That's what we serve at comedy shows in germany and it is included in the ticket price. Otherwise, they'd never laugh, because, you know, germans just aren't funny.
