This guy died? Wow before John Parr... nuts his cover had balls and felt right. That felt like if a cover was ever needed he hit half timed. But his voice kicked hard. That was great. Never seen this till today but damn he got what made this song special.

I love this version. He sings this song perfectly.

A fine young man and a great singer gone to soon, what great talent and stage precense. He died of a blood clot in his ankle at the age of 35, so very sad. I am very glad that I was able to be at this concert and meet him, very nice man, and what a singer! Gone, but never forgotten,asa his music lives on. May you rest in peace Michael and may God give your family the strength to get through your passing.

He died from prescription meds he was taking for his ankle mixed with alcohol. It was confirmed in the coroner’s report.

Just to clarify to anyone wondering how he died, it was not from a "drug overdose". He had a blood clot that formed after he broke his ankle. So Sad 😢

This song is massively important to me for so many personal reasons and you have really done a brilliant job I loved it. Thank you.

when he was on "idol" and didn't win, I was confused and wondered why they weren't hearing what I was hearing. I always thought he was better than the show. And this performance always confirms my suspicions. I love the expressions on Foster's face too. He knows a thing or two about music and he realized Johns was "in the zone".

I think I remember Randy Jackson said the same thing on American Idol during one of his performances.

Such a loss, he was a beautiful man inside and out. and what a great voice. He will always be in my memories.
