If only we had great music like this in 2024

That’s what you called real talent. It’s rare nowadays. Kudos to 80’s music!

I was born in 01, mom and dad told me that the 80’s was the best years of their life. I wonder why🤦‍♂️…. I wished today, like to go back in time where it was simple. People were just living life and having fun. We the people don’t have it no more, it’s all undivided attention. Wish it was simple just like the 80’s👍

It truly was good. I was 20 in '85 and 85 to 89 were the best years of my life thus far without a doubt. Work, entertainment and social life was tops. Shopping was also so much more fun than it is today. We didn't have as much, as things were more expensive in relation to our incomes, but rents were much cheaper. Getting a new coat or pair of shoes was epic.

This was my high school graduation anthem the year 1985!!.

As a Brit we never had anything like high school graduations in 1985 (more common now) but still it's a sing that's considered an anthem of the 80s especially US Rock, even though John Parr is a Brit. Definitely one for the ages!

Finally, finally....after tons of lip synced "live" performances....John proves what we all know......HE CAN DEFINITELY SING!!!

I seen him @ the Albert hall with foreigner 2018,he done a acoustic gig,good gig.👌

I’ve seen John Parr live many times. He’s from my home town Worksop We’re very proud of him.

It’s nice seeing people enjoy themselves at the concert and dancing and singing along instead of everybody, holding up cell phones and standing there emotionless. God I miss these times. Great performance by John Parr and the band.

He sings live as good as a studio recording.

That’s what most of the musicians from the 60’s through 80’s we’re like, knew how to play instruments as well. Unlike today, no work ethic or true talent.

80’s teenage years, best ever and will never be duplicated.

This is the year I was born and I’m sitting in a wheelchair too. Nice what he told to the fans, before the song started 🏆🏆

He killed it!!! Good lord, that was amazing. To sing like that live while playing guitar and on stage, incredible.

Oh no words can express how I feel about this song for the last 4 decades but despite Johns feelings the film too. My darling sister died in ITU 05/11/21 and I played our fave rock chick songs - this was the last song she heard and took her last breath to Jan Adlington I can’t bear it all without you - my sister my rock chick companion

This man, his band his style everything is simply epic and timeless.

This is why I am in love with 80's music. Almost every song has its own story and awesome honest voices. I am not sure, but I think this live performance is in a same key that a studio recording. Most of nowadays singers do studio recording in higher tones (keys), that they can actually sing on a concerts. I cannot believe, that this video has only 12k views!

I think you're right. Same key as the studio track. Which is even more impressive because he steps up the key for the final chorus.

Extremely well performed. The curse if this song is doing it over and over for years destroys the vocals a little bit each time.

This sounds so great! And his dedication to Rick Hansen cleared up a lot of confusion people had about the words of the song.

This is a grandly motivational you-can-do-anything rocker. Musically, “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man In Motion)" is also right in that weirdly-satisfying mid-80s radio-rock zone. The pulsing dance-pop synth-bass that runs all the way through, you can't deny.

Growing up as a Canadian kid in the 80s Rick Hanson and Terry Fox were heroes to look up to

80s the absolute best! So much raw talent and creativity. Thank God for the 80s !!!!

so awesome he told the story of my fellow Canadian icon and hero Rick Hanson! i still love this song! so awesome! so bad ass! the passion! i got to meet rick when he stopped in Cobourg Ontario in 86 or 87, i was 6 or 7, was cool, i got a hat , he signed it, its some where with my moms stuff
