Is there anything that doesn't make this song perfect? Great musicians, excellent background singers, incredible bagpipe player, unique song and a John Farnham who sings this song with his heart and soul. The icing on the cake is the vocal audience. It can't be better. This is the song of all decades!

I saw him twice at The Brisbane Entertainment Centre (when 'Whispering Jack' was released) and both concerts were EPIC. What an incredible talent and really nice bloke. ❤

Loved the reaction from the crowd when the bagpipes were played. One of my favourite musical instruments.

Absolute showman!! In these trying times there is no more poignant reminder in these lyrics that we as a voice need to stand up and be heard. I would love for this "Anthem" to to made the official anthem of Australia or maybe the World Anthem. There is far more to learn from these lyrics than any other anthem. Congrats John and I hope your current medical challenges are overcome soon. This guy is a national treasure and should be recognised as such.

There are always iconic moments at any concert, George Michael bringing on Elton John, Queens performance at Live Aid In 85, Phil Collins live version of In The Air Tonight, the way John introduced the piper and his performance, followed by the roar from the audience shows this will always be one of them, fantastic 🇬🇧

You hold it together, singing alone.. Chest out... Pride blossoming.. Then the Scottish bagpipes kick in... The tears start flowing. ❤

Fantastic music , performed with a full symphony orchestra , AND FULL REGALIA EXPERIENCED PIPER , it is simply great !

John Farnham's Best Friend, and Manager died, suddenly yesterday. Glenn Wheatley, orininally from band "Masrter's Apprenitices"Bass Player. Glenn's passing has shocked us all, esp J Farnham.

Recently I heard someone describe this as Australia's unofficial national anthem and it hit me ... hell yeah. Wherever I go in this screwed up world, whenever I hear The Voice I hear home. There is something about this song that's just so Australian: it's a battlers' anthem of hope and defiance in the face of adversity, and to hear 5,000 Australians belt it out as I did at a concert in Sydney not long after the 2002 Bali bombings (88 Australians lost) was one of the most electrifying (and proudest) moments of my life. Those lines - 'We're not going to sit in silence, we're not going to live in fear' - the ground started shaking. When I need to drink concrete, this is the song. Works every time :)

Every time I hear bagpipes I get goosebumps, this song and pipes are an absolutely amazing thing!!!!!!!
