MH Rise: How to Quickly Get Tigrex Scalps & More NO ARMOR SET REQUIRED [Read Description]

Ойындар

This is mostly a reminded that this method exists.
Done with no buffs or Buddies.
The armor is irrelevant however the weapon is, see *note for why. This is done on a Low Rank Tigrex. High Rank increases the drop chance per break but Low Rank is faster.
The set used:
Carapace Sword II (no Ramp-Up)
Kamura Head Scarf: +1 Divine Blessing
Leather Vest: +1 Botanist
Leather Gloves: +1 Geologist
Basarios Coil: +1 Speed Sharpening / Def Boost
Leather Pants: +1 Geologist
Powercharm
No increased damage food skills used.
*Note: I tested this with multiple weapons and sets. Ultimately all you need is a GS with 130 attack. Possibly a weaker GS with Attack Boost would work, didn't bother testing that. You do need a TCS to break the head in one attack. Even CS+SCS wont break it. You DO NOT need to use a Silkbind attack, I just do it for style points.

Do you have to trap him too? Or just break his face and leave quest.

Breaking parts is what gets rewards. Hunter Notes will list them along with drop chance.

is this considered a bug cause I literally just broke his head and left the quest no pitfall or shock traps at all and I got it at my first try

Nah, it's just how MH works. Each part of a monster you break adds a chance for a part to drop as a reward. In this case, simply breaking the head gives a high chance to get a Scalp. If you Return From Quest, you get rewarded for whatever parts you broke but if you *Abandon* the quest, you get nothing. You can check the % chance for various part in your Hunter Notes.

Yeah, often times a part break has the highest drop percentage so sometimes it's just easier to break whatever parts and return from quest. Quick and easy farming.
