I completed the game in ranger hardcore on the first try and got the good ending although i didn't have military grade ammo of more than 100

"Good" ending... Not cannonical, good only for peace, for you. In the game (and in the book) there was almost no clues that blacks are a peacefull beings. All we know that they are a great threat. All our mission is to destroy that threat. That's the only thing that keeps Artyom to go further, to keep his motherland station safe. So, you pissed? You pissed just because you know now alternate way. And now you can share your pissed opinion with everyone who read the book, and they never had some fancy "morality points"...

I played the whole game without killing anyone on the Redux PS4 version, I assumed that they cut this "good ending" (alternate) because the game was packaged with Last Light, which relied on the bad ending. Weird.

Apparently theres a mother nosalis you weren't supposed to kill and that's probably why you got the bad ending. Honestly it's a fantastic game but the thin lines you have to walk to get different endings is frustrating.

@@chasconocaso1496 A good way to get the good ending is to find secret areas, you’ll know when you do cause it’ll play the positive karma jingle, plus they are normally accompanied by loot. Giving bullets to beggars and the kid at Riga that offers a tour helps. Listen to every NPC convo the whole way through and sometimes you’ll get positive karma (never bad karma) playing an instrument will net positive karma (not always but it’s good to play them all anyways to avoid missing one that does) And stealth through EVERY single mission that can be stealthed. Never kill other humans is also a given.

I realized that the dark ones were trying to communicate peace to me but I still preferred the bad ending. I thought they were lying and trying to manipulate me. Perhaps if they showed the dark ones doing some good things…

I tried to surrender 2 times, just in case...he killed me both times. So i was like, aight fuck you then mate and unloaded every bullet into him. Its not what i wanted, you did this to yourself! Besides, if they really wanted peace they wouldnt keep sending waves of monsters etc. I like em and i really do want peace, but out of artyoms perspective there is no reason to spare them.

The funny thing is I didn’t know in the first game you could knock out enemies. I did in the second and third game. I still got the good non canon ending in the first game.

You know what? The dark ones could've just pushed that homing device and called it a day... Instead, they prioritized to "kill" Artyom. What a dumb move for the so-called supernatural beings whose brains are interlinked.

I wish this was the canon ending for the games and books. The bad ending is the canon ending for the first game and the last 2 games the good endings are canon. If you read Metro 2033, 2034, and 2035; Artyom doesn’t kill anyone until halfway through Metro 2035. He cry’s with tons of regrets and pain for about 5 pages.

If you want it to feel more like it's happening in Russia, then change the voices to the russian localisation.

Had no clue the dark ones were good so i guess i got the bad ending. They just seemed evil because they sounded evil, looked scary, and their light was red. The other light was always a human. This is a glitch that they haven’t fixed for some reason. No matter what ending I get, it always cuts to black and sends me back to the start menu before the end cutscene plays.

What you do in the mission leading up to this ending is what influences the ending.

As hard as I try, I never can get this ending. Did all good things, listened dialogues, saved people, killed only hostiles. And still, bad ending. WTF.

Find secret stashes/areas. For example at the entrance of the market when you’re with Bourbon, the area that you fight nosalises in before getting rescued has a secret area you can go to before the fight. When Bourbon jumps over a hole in the floor before arriving at that area you go into it, then you can go down to the bottom level where there is a door you can go through to find a stash. Finding these areas nets you some serious karma.

A few months ago I got the metro 2033 redux for free on steam. There is only one end: to kill the monster in the end. I replayed the last part several times and the game was changed. Less space and either I kill the monster and fire the rocket or I don't kill the monster and he kills me.

Dependendo de como joga, o comportamento durante o jogo, ajudando as pessoas nas estações, escutando todas as conversas, mexendo em portas, lâmpadas, tudo isso parece que aparece essa arma. Só não sei se antes ou depois daquela fase que ele passa pela biblioteca.

That's the standard ending

It might have came to next gen but ill always prefer the original to the redux just look at the characters artyoms arms change from start to end from green camo suit you see ehen u play thr first mission in redux to a hazmat suit at the same part at thr end and when it ends hes wearing a brown jacjet armour and helmet no gloves plus it took to much away to make it look more up to date the only thing wrong with thr original was the Ai as it was to dumb and aimbotty

Both endings are so lack luster, kind of disappointing overall but enjoyed the game for what it was. Much more looking forward to Last Light and Exodus.

Well that’s kind of because the normal ending for this game pours into the plot of last light

Just be careful in last light and exodus. The stupid karma points is still there if you messed it up. You will get the bad ending

@@Jupiter.141 actually morality points in Exodus are alot more logical than in 2033 even Last Light did it better than 2033

I got this ending without knowing it was the wrong one

That's HIGHLY unlikely, since the only way to unlock this ending is finding numerous secrets and not killing. No one would do that by 'accident'.

More like alternative ending but sure definitely doesn’t worth go through all the troubles to earn it. The ranger died for the cause and there is no way Artyom should make their death in vain.

All the effort to get the ending that is not even canonical.

The canonical ending is much better
