    It wasn't until the 3:24 mark that I suddenly remembered the introduction from 2033; Artyom as a child stepping outside of the Metro wearing an Ushanka hat just like Kirill was at this moment in Exodus - experiencing "So many new things" - with myself playing the game already on the verge of some tears. Combined with one fucking beautiful musical score, the trilogy coming full-circle with this subtle story element pushed the water works for me. My fiance asked if I was alright, watching me laugh and cry almost like I experienced an epiphany, straight out of left field. Bravo, 4A and Dmitry Glukhovsky. Thank you for the wild, wild ride.

    In the last drive sequence I swear I glimpsed the passenger's seat like 10 times to see how Miller was doing... when the morning came and saw he'd gone, my heart was shredded, I just couldn't accept it... then in the vision while taking the transfusion, when he tells you he wished he had a son, stubborn like him, stubborn like you, I just couldn't hold it anymore, I just let the tears fall... what a ride this game is, literally.

You are her father damn it, but after thinking about it and playing the two coronels dlc, he not only saw artyom as a son but he also wanted to redeem himself, he saw that artyom was right from the very start and wanted to help him reach his dream and do good for future generations. with the knowledge we have now, he took the best decision possible, but still... Is it me or i just think the game is finished way better than the book(2035) even the whole plot and character development was way more enjoyable in the games compared to the destroyed ones in the 2035 book... Even Miller got his hero arc that he deserved ! I hate how the characters that were slowly built during the 2033 and 2034 got ruined in the last book and became even more dark then the antagonists... hell ill even say that the most main characters ( if not all) became antagonists in the end and we didnt even got the ending worth sticking to the trilogy weve been fans of since the 2033.

    Mitt42 In the books Artyom is considered crazy dude by everyone who is the only one to think that there are people outside Moscow and he takes of from station to station to find that one guy who apparently got in contact with other survivors via radio station. During that faze of going through stations everyone is killing everyone and its panic everywhere because some famine is spreading from communists sector and there he finds out that guy he was searching for is either dead or not real. There we see mass slaughter of innocent civilians who went running to Hanza circle being killed like cattle including hungry children and pregnant women etc. Then something weird happens in the book and no one who read it knows what the hell did Glukhowsky do there but Artyom find himself back in the one of the stations where he started searching for that one guy.

    There he is recovered by one good girl who was a main character in book 2 but now just an orignary whore and she heals him up so he went outside to some place at the edge of the city. There he finds out the antennas which blocks radio signal from all over the world ( other major cities of EU are live and well as he managed to hear at one moment while destroying radio blockers, including potentialy the USA) And then we see 3 new people ( father and two sons) came from outside of Moscow telling Artyom there is a city with even vegetation on the surface and no need to eat only mushroms and pigs as they do it in the Metro. After few more words in the book those 3 are killed cold bloodedly by non other then Millers men who now came to calm down Artyom and promise to finally tell him a truth.

  • @mr.aleximer

    @mr.aleximer

    4 жыл бұрын

    Artyom calms down and is brought back at Metro only to be told by Miller that he (Artyom) was never crazy but they couldn't allow him to make a contact over the radio because there is a war still going ( we are left to wonder is that true ot just a crazy ass paranoia by leading people of Metro to the end of the book ) and if yenkies are alive and find out Moskow is live and well then the Moskovians will be slaughtered. Artyom strongly dissaproves this new information and then he is sent on a mission only to find out they were selling a weapons to the commies ( to whom are they in a war with) where he goes absolutely crazy and tries to kill everyone and while running from a commies ,he find himself at some point at a huge mass of starved people who wants to rampage all stations and come to Hanza to only to eat. ( there we see all them running in stampede to the Hanza circle for food, while being shot at from each of the stations guard posts- sorry for writing it in a first comment because i forgot they were being slaughter only later on ). In that chaos every civilian is dead ( i believe more than 5000 people) but somehow Artyom is alive and back at the station to be healed by a whore once again. Whore tells him she works for a guy that is actually a real goverment of the Russia (Metro) which is still fully functioning and alive. He persues her to call that man and at one point Artyom find himself in a separate bunker in Moscow where there are (maybe) 50 people who indeed control Metro and live as kings with even having a restaurant with waiters and basicaly very un post apocalyptic life. Artyom finds out they are even more crazy then "leaders" of Metro and he finds out also that these guys made almost everything what is happening in the Metro just as a game and mostly for fun only to control them and experiment the ideas. Artyom gets an offer to live there but he refues straight forwardly and quickly he is once again awake at the whore room with new revelation of everything what is going on.

    Just a fun fact: If you were seeing green spots in your vision from radiation exposure like Artyom is, you'd be dead, it's too late to help you, there isn't a medicine, surgery or an amount of blood transfusions that will save you.

  • @sandyleask92

    @sandyleask92

    Not a fact at all. Radiation does not cause green spots in your vision. Ever. Radiation is often recognised as 'green' because of the use of copper-doped zinc sulfide radium. Used in glow watches which was later found toxic. Cosmic rays are able to cause flashes in your eyes via Cherenkov radiation. Cherenkov radiation is a bright blue. Cosmic rays are high energy protons Much higher energy particles than alpha-beta emitters. So if you are Artyom you won't notice any effects dose-dependant from hours to days. Lethal doses of radiation don't manifest instantly.

    Not gonna lie, after all that happened and reading the colonel´s entry on the diary, i was like, "so it takes almost dying trying to save my wife, your daughter, for you to finally call me son (chuckles), thanks for the save Colonel!", then he gave me his medicine, i was like "dammit sir, dont you dare to die, she needs us both!", then the drive and his words, then i woke up, he was "Asleep", then the drive to the RV point, with the kid recounting the travel with the colonel, the music was on point and it filled me with both hope and sadness, then i struck something and it ended, i woke up after that, already morning, and the Colonel, Miller, was dead, after all that went through, from Metro 2033, to Last Light, and the battle of D6, to Exodus and the travel , he didnt deserve to die this way, then moments later the Aurora appears, and not gonna lie, i laughed/cried from relief, at seeing everybody coming to help, then both the emergency transfusion sequence / walk-talk with the colonel, with Miller, from the tunnels of the metro to the hill overlooking the lake, his last words and the ending of the talk with him at the hill on the lake, it just killed me, i cried, i just cried. This game, it was, and it is, just plain awesome.

    I can't thank 4A & Dmitry Glukhovsky enough for creating such a masterpiece, I'm honestly glad nothing has happened to me in life to where I couldn't experience the entire metro experience from childhood to adulthood 💯

    what gave me goosebumps is when the kid described how Miller got to Arytom by killing all the mutants and river monsters like he was a fricken superhero. Gave me chills cause Miller mustve had so much determination to get to Arytom and save Anna

    Its easy on the volga dont kill any cult members just knock them out bandits are fair game. Cult use fire instead of electric lights Mountain mission all enemies are fair game. Casnian border desert place. Free slaves and avoid killing battle slaves and danmir will stay there are guides available for this one Tagia level same as volga knock out the forest guys instead of killing they use fire instead of electric lights Overall to beat it and get the good ending you need at least 2 guys to live not get wounded or leave

    Getting this ending is a real pain. You can be good all the way through the game but still end up with the bad ending because you missed something.

    Didn't he had 0Rh- in the books? Because one other ranger, his friend had the same blood type and they considered themselfes as blood brothers because of that reason. However I still thinkt that solving survival of the protagonist in this way is brilliant. Job well done with the ending.

    I really had to fight just to get to the end of the game. No medkits, no filter left for my mask, had to run away from everything. But getting this end was worth it. Especially when you compare good and bad
