So close no matter how far, Justin Johnson's best at blues guitar, forever trusting his picking hand, and nothing else matters... never opened my tuning this way, slide is ours we slide it our way, all these notes I just dont play, and nothing else matters... Trust the strings to hold true, everyday he gives us something new, open tuning for a different tune, and nothing else matters...

Honestly he's the best blue's picker known to exist I'm not kidding either this guy spends hours and hours just playing nobody even comes close to being as good. It's only my opinion but I can't think of a better player out there.

Who would have thought a mega rock song could sound this good on one guitar? Then again, why wouldn't it when it's Justin playing? Thank you sir.

Whether he’s plucking, strumming or sliding, I admire Justin’s huge talent and his ability to play organically flawless styles on any instrument that uses strings. Truly one of my favourite musicians of all time! Pure genius! 🙌🏻👍🏻

Initially, the song was not meant to be released, as Hetfield had written it for himself" James Hetfield, I mean.

I could not have imagined it played any clearer on acoustic. He makes it look easy. And in a way it is. All of it's right there on the fret board. And this song deserves any accolade given for being a certified classical rock anthem. Just a stunning piece of music done acoustically buy a mesmerizing artist himself. This was truly stunning.

30year Metallica fan. Seen them live a few times. This is EPIC!

How does one achieve this level of absolute mastery of an instrument in multiple music genres? You’re not only a virtuoso guitar player, but you’re interpretation and arrangements of various pieces of music are very tasteful, and pleasing to listen to. I usually dislike covers, because they rarely do the original justice, but I think yours are some of the best I’ve ever heard. You add some of your own playing style, while remaining true to the original. You’ve definitely got a rare talent.

Can't add much more except I once heard How to Play like Segovia. Simply start a 7 and don't stop even after 70. Justin seems to have jumped 50 Years. So there it is, you've got it or you've not. The J Man has it. I think I am gonna play a lot of this Guy's Stuff. .

This song was meant to be played on a 12-string acoustic. My father thought Metallica just made a bunch of noise but this song changed his mind because he could hear the classical trading Kirk had. Truly is a masterpeice

One of a very few videos I have played 3 times in a row. Simply magic.

This was the first real song I lernt to play ( on a old broken school 6 string ) I'm Pushing 70 now( I was 55 when I started to learn, borrow the guitar from my kid ) and although I don't play too often this is the one song I still remember the chords too...(just wish I could play as well as you Mr Johnson) 👍

Knowing that Justin listens to Metallica makes me even excited more about him. He's a true master at what he does.

This arrangement is the best I've heard. period. Soulful, heartfelt., but yet still incredibly virtuosic. Loved every single second of it. Then you realize Justin is playing that thing on a 12 string, which are significantly harder to play. And he makes it look like he's just playing a regular 6 stringer, bends, hammer-ons, pull-offs and all. Not only is he incredibly talented, but I'm sure that man could crush any mortal's left hand with his handshake :)

I really enjoy the Dark Swamp stuff, but this is utterly mesmerising!

The melodic passages of this song really shine on the 12 string.

Good lord, is there any song that you don’t instantly improve by playing it? This song was one of the first songs I learned and one of the reasons I wanted to learn to play guitar. After nearly 30 years of playing it, today I learned that I need to relearn it!

You haven't seen anything yet. This guy can make music on anything with strings. Check out more of his videos. He plays a skateboard, an ironing board, cigar box, gas can, ammo can, a skeletin, a shovel, etc,etc.. One string, two, strings, three strings, and more , obviously a twelve string as well. Put strings on it - anything and Justin can make it sing - and not just music, or good music, he does shit that you can't believe sounds so good. My mom was a singer. Her voice gave me shivers down my back. She had a really good voice. Justin's music does the same thing to me all the time. That's how I grew up to know what's really really good when I hear it. The guy is a legend right up there with Stevie Ray Vaughn, Muddy Waters, and the classics like Rush, and Led Zepplin. I found his channel a couple years ago and this is one of my favorites to just let it play and listen - better than anything on the radio

A very bold wall of sound vibrating my soul...reverberating my being...capturing my heart with each note...and harmony...dissonance and consonant....never wanting it to stop...then the overtones...accepting that it's completed...I'll just start over and listen again...and again...

I use to be young, angry, lost, and confused. Metallica was my anthem and my outlet. Peace and hope has entered my life through a family of my own and the love of Jesus Christ. Through maturity, I've grown to greatly appreciate real talent and beauty like this. Thanks for this.
