Jin is the one who made me realize that dedication and hard work will pay off. I think he had this inferiority complex cause he didn't have any singing or dancing background. You can tell how he felt in his song AWAKE. He once said in his speech, quote "Before debut, I thought hard work would always be enough. But after debut, I needed talent more than effort. No matter how hard I tried, it was difficult to catch up with the others, and my self-confidence was hit hard. But suddenly, I realized something. What is my true self? Can't I be more confident of who I am now? Let me trust myself.” I think it wasn't easy for him to admit this since he is the eldest in the group and in a culture where age hierarchy matters. But he was brave enough to express this in public. He is my inspiration.💜💜

Actually, Jin is “the master of live performances”. I watched some behind the scene stuff and the other members were talking about how good Jin is in singing live in shows. He and Jimin are the ones who have developed their voices the most. V an JK were the most gifted with vocal abilities, but now all four are incredible. The hard work is rewarded! 💜

I don't know... I think V had to develop his voice (and of course JK can do so many intricate things with his now), but I think especially during Stigma, he had to learn how to consistently do those high notes and you can see a progression of him going from shaky to nailing it.

Jin’s vocals and high notes are so outstanding and powerful ❣️. Jin and Jimin are in charge of hitting higher notes in BTS so lots of times in their songs, Jin and Jimin interchange lines (that are quite high). The high note towards the end of the song at 20:53 was done by Jin while Jimin harmonized with him.

Jin really impresses me with his vocals. Legit vocal coaches who reacts to BTS alsonpraises Jin's vocals especially his falsetto's on how he controls them knowing he has no singing background before joining BTS but look how good he is now. Everytime he dances too I would focus on him because he claims he is bot a good dancer but in all fairness to him from someone who has no dancing experience he is doing a great job amd he delivers with all his best.

When I was discovering BTS in 2021, I bawled when I read the lyrics to this song. I didn't even know I was so unhappy. BTS is like that brutally honest friend. You just let your guards down. My journey to BTS is more like a journey to myself. In my quest of discovering BTS, I discovered myself. It's corny and I remember when I told my bf exactly that and he laughed at me. He thinks I'm exaggerating and taking BTS way too seriously. But he doesn't know the troubles that disturb me internally. I didn't even recognize it myself if it weren't for BTS. I really think only BTS can understand me, like genuinely get it. But don't worry, my bf understand it now. He may not be ARMY but he respects them and their influence to my life.

BTS are the masters of mixing elements of music that shouldn't work together - but somehow becomes the sounds/songs we never knew we were looking for in our lives!!

I agree with you john. Jin is the living proof that its not late to start everything. Jin start training his vocal on 20-21 years old, its not young age. If jin can do that, so we are.

It's interesting that you pointed out the fast guitar with the slow vocals because to me that's the perfect musical visualisation of the busy world versus our inner dialogues. Zero O'clock is my favorite go-to song for comfort whenever I need a "purple hug". 💜

John, since you were surprised by how RM wrote the song yet he wasn't in it, i just wanted to let you know RM is the primary song writer of BTS. He has written numerous vocal line songs n solo songs for other members. So it's not surprising really. He wrote Serendipity for Jimin, Singularity for V, Zero O Clock and many many more songs. He is a really gifted lyricist and his words are literal poetry. His mind works in stunning ways n he uses beautiful imagery n wordplays in his lyrics.

@@JohnReavesLive When a new album drops, Namjoon usually does a Vlive where he talks us through the whole album making n songwriting process since he is majorly involved in all the tracks. When u check the writing credits on all BTS songs, he is always credited. Either as the main songwriter or co-writer. Hence, he walks us even through specific lyrics in the Vlives. What his emotions were at the time of writing, his inspirations, the contribution of other members, what they hope to impart through the song...it's very detailed. Also, Happy Birthday to Namjoonie. Since it's his birthday today💜😂

On the days where you feel everyone is moving except you, and just feel stuck, when the two hands of a clock hit 0 (or 12) a new day will begin, and you’re going to be happy. The lyrics and vocals makes this so beautiful, just overall amazing! The vocalists did great. There actually isn’t a crowd. This was for the online concert and only has performances from this online concert. So no crowd since it’s online and because of covid, and no other lives on this song 😭 Also Jimin wasn’t feeling well but still did exceptionally well despite not being at his best. The backtracking wasn’t perfectly on time either, especially at the beginning so this performance has a few flaws, but that’s not their fault. They still did well! Here’s to hoping they perform this song in front of army one day! A cool thing that army plan as events is that on the last day of the year we time it to where when the new year starts, we play this song at a specific time so that when the new year starts the first thing we hear is BTS saying “and you’re gonna be happy”

YO! When you pulled out your guitar, I was like "This is it! This is what I love to see". This is definitely one of those songs that ARMY holds very dear.

I think Jin have talents in singing otherwise he wouldn't had been selected as a trainee, nor survived in infamous Korean idol system to debut as BTS. The fact that he didn't have any vocal training until 20 doesn't mean he has no talent. Of course his hard work and effort paid off to polish his talent and shine it. He may have been so modest on assessing his own singing style, but we know he is a great singer who touched many hearts. Zero O'clock and Epiphany are my favorites and gave me much comfort and energy to get through during difficult times.

I just want to share a little with you and everyone here. this song is one of so many BTS songs that always calms me down. it's just that kind of comfort song to me, emotional drain (?) kinda song. I always hear Zero O'clock (and some similar song like Spring Day, Mikrokosmos, Magic Shop) every time I feel everything is so heavy and difficult. these comfort songs always make me feel better after I hear it

OMG. At 11:08- this is the live where he flashed his phone screen saver with a picture of his dog Bam! We did not know about him or meet him until later on In the Soop 2. He’s a Doberman with floppy ears, wearing a shirt in the picture. 😊

This song helps me a lot after a bad day, sometimes it's enough reminder that tomorrow is another day

I love this song so much & the message behind it. I think it’s a song anyone could relate to. I think you would enjoy watching one of JK’s lives. They are like free therapy to me. I love that he always sings for Army & they are so long because he says Army tricks him into singing more than he planned. lol. You can tell he loves doing it though. He has fun. It’s amazing to watch him sing songs Army requested so you know he hasn’t practiced them. He may occasionally not know the lyrics or make a mistake but you can tell how talented of a vocalist he is in his lives. I also feel like his lives are the best time to really get to know him.

Zero O’clock is one of my comfort songs. I really enjoyed your reaction to it as I enjoy many of your reactions. One thing is I’m glad that you realized that Namjoon wrote the song as well as the majority of other songs. I rarely hear people talk about it and he hardly ever gets credit for it. He’s not in the song but he’s the one who came up with the genius concept and lyrics. If I read the comments on KZread he hardly ever gets any credit for anything. Yet he is the one who talks to us and explains things and created the story of BTS and Army. Luckily he doesn’t seem to notice and he is always the one who is most generous with making sure that the other members have the limelight. But it does drive me crazy that he is always the one with the least likes in the least views and the least social media of any member. I think he’s very handsome but in some countries he’s not considered to be and so it’s said that is why he’s not as popular. Maybe at some point you could learn a bit about him and how talented and brilliant he is.

Those synchronizations in time like 1111, 333, 444 and so on are angel numbers. They each have meaning. Look them up. They are very comforting and very important if you are seeing them often. Just a little fyi. Do make a wish at those times. You will be divinely guided. I love Zero O’Clock! Always makes me feel better.

I literally have a physical reaction every time I hear this song. It’s really hard to explain but it’s like my whole chest feels full. This was a beautiful live performance but it was during pandemic times so there was nobody there present. It was an online concert they did for us. You spoke about their layering. one of my favorite comfort song, with Magic shop, and Tomorrow (and Serendipity... serendipity is good for all mood LOl ! ). I have nothing special with the clock, and never make wishes, but whenever I have a bad day, my mindset is always "tomorrow will be another day". At midnight, bad things are erased, the bad day is gone, and a new day, a better day will come when I wake up. Like a reset. So this song is specially relatable for me. And it's such a beautiful song, as always with the vocal line. Jimin's voice and emotion in the live "oneline" performance ON:E hit me hard. And the high note Jin/Jiin at the end is perfection !

Jungkook is that one guy alongside MJ, Charlie puth, Beethoven who has perfect pitch. Even Charlie in many of his interviews mentioned multiple times that Jungkook has perfect pitch because he easily sang the exact notes that Charlie asked him to sing. Charlie mentioned that Jungkook has a distinctly good ear and is able to pick up the notes and sing them with ease.

John....the empath that I am came out hard on this video. So, here is what I do when I have negative thoughts: I told myself that when these thoughts start happening it would trigger my brain to tell myself to look and/or think about all the good things that I have around me. Works for me, maybe it will work for you or anyone else that reads this. When I say 'the good things', it's not just the typical 'good things'. It's things like my cat's purr, the smile of a child, the music that bird outside is making, the smell of the rain, etc. I'm not sure if you are familiar with empaths, but, we "feel" everything, we "know" things, and sometimes we "see" things. My strongest connection is with animals, but, I can feel the emotions of people too. There's so many things I could say, but, that would be writing a book. I've already written an essay, lol. Just know this: trust in who you are, look in the mirror every day & just say "f**k it", then giggle. And if throughout the day something negative happens, in your mind just remember looking in that mirror that morning & what you said. My apologies if I've gotten too personal. I hope that I haven't. I was taught that it is traditionally offered to oneself and then it can be offered to others (someone you love, someone neutral, and someone you are at odds with). Namjoon.. he amazes me everytime, Just talking with him or listening to his words makes you feel smarter because like, his words have LAYERS to them. Forgot who said this but it’s something that really touched me deeply - “your mission in this life is to be happy” - and I try to remind myself of this every time I am too hard on myself…and especially now in this pandemic where peoples lives have been devastated and there has been so much death it just shows you how fleeting and uncertain our time is here on this earth. I just found BTS, maybe about a year ago and they have just given me a reason to live and enjoy life more. I’m also glad I chanced upon your channel and I really enjoy your reactions and insight. I take a lot of comfort in your positive energy. So, more power to you and your channel! Stay safe and well!

The tiny tan video always makes me emotional. I personally have a hate love relationship with this song. I really love this song, but this song always makes me remember that i haven't reached my target when my deadline is tomorrow. And, yeah, that's my fault. This song makes me more realize that is my fault :''🥲

For me....very supporting song. Even if something goes wrong, it's usually another day, moment or opportunity. This song improves mood, gives hope and faith, that We will succeed next time:) I love this song from the beginning. And Than this animation, which adds even more positive emotions. And Next, high Level... First time this song live with choreo. Vocal Line performe live on stage on-line concert for Us: ON:E 2021. Terribly difficult time for all of Us. BTS on stage.. But We don't have a concert hall. You Imagine, how painful it's for Them and for Us?! Me watching on-line, I took crying and laughing. The sight of these empty spaces... My heart was breaking with pain... But the sight of Their Fantastic Show... BTS reduced that pain. Positive emotions got the better:) BTS always better live and than...ON:E... Everytime I hear this song, I tear up (especially watching the TinyTan video). It has such a beautiful and relatable message and it hits hard in the feels.

The fact that neither Jin or Jimin sang whatsoever before jointing BTS always blows my mind. Jin also had to learn to dance and Jimin had to learn to sing in a record short time for an idol trainee. Just mind blowing.
