Rolling Blackouts were happening here in Chattanooga, Tn and Ringgold, GA, Rossville, GA areas. I believe they are no longer in effect now. We never lost power here at my house. We fired up our wood heater to keep our H&A from running constantly. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas ❤

@@FarmFreshIB Thank you. I am not really alone. I am caring for my 94 year-old mother who is suffering from dementia and is so confused she can barely remember that it is Christmas. This is by far the hardest trial I have ever had to endure. Please pray for me.

We called that Boiled Custard. Nutmeg was added individually. We made it by the 5 gallon milk can and it was kept outside providing it was cold enough. Merry Christmas to the Pressley's

Merry Christmas from Texas. Years from now you will remember this Christmas fondly.

What I find that helps especially in the wind is to overlay your pants with "frog toggs" waterproof pants and your coat with a "Frog toggs" top. It certainly helps keep the wind away, snow away but they're not very breathable so if you're active outside (like snowblowing ) for a long time you'll trap sweat inside. But for a short walking the doggie not heavy activity level task, they really help. (and they protect more expensive clothing from getting snagged on branches or if you fall on the ice you don't rip up a $200-400 jacket.

Both my parents are waiting for us in Heaven and my sis and her family are sick so we can’t be with them today, my hubby got sick last night, so it’s just me this morning. Merry Christmas to you. Nothing much happening here in Indiana. No party or celebration. Everyone seems to do their own thing anymore and no one has time or actual respect for the elders. This world has changed so much and at 61 years old, I am not happy about it. Love to see you still have values and traditions in your life !

Oh girls I'd heard about those 'rolling blackouts' and wondered if y'all were getting any of that. We did here in TX last February (and the year before that) and all I will say HERE is it is (I looked for an emoji but didn't find one for baloney). Biting my tongue right now!!!!! Loved to see y'all taking those cards to the nursing home and I am going to be doing that next year (never thought of it). Great inspiration! Love all y'all and wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🎄 💓 🙏🏼

I’m in north Alabama. We had one round of blackouts at my house. Lasted 20 minutes. We have a propane heater as well as electric.

Merry Christmas to you all. Here in Michigan we have about 2 feet of snow and are -20 windchill. Wind gusts up to 40 miles an hour. It's supposed to warm up to 32 by New Years. It is not uncommon here on the lake shore.

The electric company keeps track of who has what where and they don't turn off the power at those people's houses. Most of them have generators and backup batteries, especially if the device helps with breathing. Okay, have a good day!

We have also been having those rolling blackouts. And one morning here it was eight below zero. I practically had to force mr. Cry baby, my cat to go out. But it didn't take him long to do his business and get back in my house. LOL We actually had a White Christmas. We still have about 1" on the north side of our yard. And still snow on our decks.
