Congratulations on your new baby too! Trying to get as much house stuff done in those sleeping gaps before the next feed and nappy is a right mission! Then add some hobby or exercise time in and suddenly we need 36 hour days to cope with normal life😂 Have a great first Christmas with your new addition

Congratulations Nick on your Daughter, I had my first Daughter two and a half years ago, I think I didn't touch any gaming stuff for about the first six months as she was basically attached to me all the time, now shes busy playing with her own toys I can start getting back to the Imperial Knight army, after bulk painting those four Cerastus Knights earlier this year I decided to try and bulk paint another 12 Armigers for the house Krast reinforcements, will be putting the first wip shots up on Instagram soon. . I managed to pick up the Acastus Asterius I wanted for Christmas but I couldn't face a project that big after a long break.

My Actastus is still boxed too tbh, may well be the post baby early days kick starter this summer! If I can squeeze a few hours a week in I’ll take it as a win, and with the continued lockdown, gaming remains off, so it’s all painting and building or codex reviews when the Knights, Daemons and Thousand Sons drop in during the times between nappies, sleeping and feeding the little one!

@@OldAverageBritGaming mine needed milk every two hours at night for the first month, luckily she started going 4 to 5 hours after that and at 3 months just one feed in the middle of the night, I was basically a zombie at work for a while, I think that first month was the worst then everything seemed fine after, thinking about having another next year but it would mean loosing my gaming room which according to my Wife isn't a good enough reason not to have any more children 🤣

Yup we are at that stage for sure. It’s 2 hours then winding then nappy changes then 10 mins later rinse and repeat!

A massive congratulations to you and Mrs OABG on the new addition to your family. I had my first in March, the day before lockdown came into effect, and when lockdown would have been a perfect time to clear that pile of shame, I barely touched it. Hobby does unfortunately move to the side when a little one comes along, but I’m slowly getting a little bit more time here and there as more routines are set. And I’m looking forward to the time where I can be sat across the table rolling dice against my son. I hope you enjoy every moment of it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s proper tough at times, but it’s so worth it. Congrats again, and I’ll look forward to the future content when you get chance to put more out.

Yeah a little side shift for now (I always envisaged my first paternity leave from work meaning I got to play more golf🤣) but now reality is here, I barely have time for a peaceful bathroom visit 🤦‍♂️. Been some tough days already and I’m sure plenty more to come, but those good times are amazing!

Mid 20’s! Wow mate! Do I need to rebrand the “old” part of my channel to just “younger than Helcarexe”? 🤣 I always thrived on a reason for my motivators. I self imposed so m at earlier in the year, like a double Titan paint job! But there’s only so long 8 could maintain that before the preparation for Harriets arrival (shopping for stuff, nursery decoration etc) became the new priority.

Yeah one continual struggle tbh, from “simply” trying to buy a Pram and car seat, to not being allowed into most of the hospital checkup visits, to no baby shower, etc etc, it’s been a tough gig to bring life into the world this year. But we made it in the end and everyone is happy and healthy.

One of the best videos I have seen in a while; the perfect way to end a hellish year! A blessing for your family. Health and happiness! p.s. I totally relate to your point of needing to paint for a purpose. My solution to that was switching to terrain. Somehow I can always muster the ummpphh to build/paint terrain whereas I need to be in a certain set of mind/mood to paint figures.

I had a terrain spurt for a while myself. Then ran out of storage space🤣 but it was something I really loved doing as a change to churning out miniatures. I feel bad for you. I'm in Alabama and we've been back to work for a long time now. We still wear masks but even some people have thrown in the towel on those.

I’ve been very fortunate to have worked throughout without any issues, but it’s been tough to adjust to life working from home, but luckily I’m in an industry that is all about technology and my team are all experts in remote connectivity🤣 I can’t imagine working in an office wearing masks and sanitising very 5 meters, but it could be the norm we all get used to longer term. Hope you stay safe out there buddy.
