That is one very forgiving razor, in my experience. Also, in case you don't know, the pattern of grooves on a safety razor's handle is called knurling. Hope I don't sound too pedantic, because you may already have learned this yourself. I didn't know the term until perhaps a year ago.

My favourite razor I love it.

Currently using a Van der hagen safety razor, would the 34C be an upgrade? Would I feel and see a difference?

its a good razor , very mild but it does get the job done .... i also own the r41 .... its a different thing altogether :O)

With the heavy bird nest on his face, why does this guy need a razor?

Do you find one side of the Merkur 34C shaves better than the other side.
