Not every open comb is more aggressive than closed comb. Seems like you haven't tried the MErkur 1904 open comb. it's one of the mildest razors on the market in general and it's open comb. Also, the parker 24c is a mild shaver. efficient but mild. The aggression of a razor comes from the blade gap and the blade exposure.

I find the 24c to not be aggressive at all. However, it is extremely efficient. When paired with a Gillette Silver Blue or Gillette 7 O'clock Permasharp stainless (India), the shave is sublime!

This is the second razor I bought when I started wet shaving seven years ago. I don’t love the head on it. But I do love the handle! The only razor I have that is as “grabby” as this one is my Feather AS-D2 which in Canada literally costs 10 times as much as the 24C. Here’s the best part: the threading on the 24C handle is 10-32 which is so common as to be almost an industry standard. That means that you can use this handle on many other 3 piece razors, even ones from other manufacturers. I used this handle today on the much more aggressive Muhler R41 where because of the weight of the 24C handle, you can really just let the handle and gravity do the work.

Yes, it is industry standard threading. It doesnt fit some of the earliest Gillettes. After those, threads became standard every where on 3-piece razor heads.

Aggressiveness 6 or 7? Wow... I find this to be more mild than the Merkur 34C.

Mühle is the best… on a sidenote, to me, there is no such thing as aggressive. Are use the term efficient. Great video. Thank you.

All of the Parker three-piece razors which use a "brass frame" have a Zamak head. Even their stainless three-piece razor has a Zamak head. Basically, it won't likely last more than five years, even with proper maintenance. Junk.

@@nicetna2010 Thank you. It's a pity, because the shape/geometry of the head is excellent. It shaves perfectly. I wish I had this head in stainless steel.

@@vladimirmach6145 Zamak serves all his life. This is a very reliable alloy, slightly inferior to brass. The only question is how to save the thread? Easy. Put a sneak between the bottom plate and the handle, you can cut out the tape yourself. Do not tighten the handle too much, and do not screw the stainless steel handle. That's all.

@@josephcoen6255 Thank you. Nevertheless, I don't want to have any plastic rubbish in my razors. Therefore, the only safety razor materials acceptable for me are stainless steel 316L and titanium.

@@vladimirmach6145 In this case, I will advise you, take a razor that has been shaken out on a CNC machine. Why is that? Razors are titanium and stainless steel, if soldered, often fall apart. Because they require high-quality soldering. Because of the hardness. I have heard many such stories. In my Timeless, Razorock, these brands use the tuck method on CNC machines. It is important. Good luck🖐️

Aggressive.... blade gap and blade exposure. Most open combs are on the mild side because they lack both components of what contributes to “aggressiveness”
