Vmax is at 9:16, BUT check out the other moments! :D 1:46 Pure V8 acceleration sound from 60kph 2:52 hating a transporter sooo much, the brake discs got even very hot. 6:13 Again pure V8 sound 7:34 hunting the new BMW Z4 at high speed

@@EAZYDUWZIT420 Nice! Congrats. I did once find one but it was an E350 and owned by a very strict German man. So it was immaculate but not the engine I wanted. I then went to see an E500 that looked great cosmetically but it felt very slow as if something wasn't right. Even the E350 felt quicker. So I immediately knew something wasn't right and the dealer wouldn't speak so I walked away. Plus there were missing air intake pipes at the front and missing covers all over. So sad.

Owner of 2004... The soundtrack is incredible. Quiet and comfortable when cruising, but roars when pushed.

The W211 is my favorite E Class. Modern but with all of the traits of the older MBs. Great solid feel (doors sound great when closed shut), handles great even without the airmatic and rides firm enough to know what the car is doing but soft enough so it's pleasant. Great cabin too.

Ich habe vor paar Monate w211 306ps gefahren. Wunderschön! Saugmotor passt einfach perfekt rein. Richtige cruiser. Das Auto hat Charakter, Motorgeräusch, wie er Leistung entwickelt..alles geschmeidig und ohne Stress. Tolle Maschine.

Guccifer 808 not so much, I had the E350, all he’s doing is setting the max gear he’s requesting the car to be able to use. If 3, it can use 1-3, if 5 it can use 1-5. All of it is a request though, as you can’t make the car hold a gear it doesn’t want. It’s a nice transmission, but it’s still just an automatic. Also the 7 speed has problems, mine killed 2 of them in 60k miles...

Darn US version of the E500/E550 are electronically limited to 130mph, even if their speedometers still top out at 160mph (not that there's anywhere short of a racetrack to actually do 130mph).

Why does this E500 almost sound like an E55? Love it. Omg. So sad there's not longer a non AMG V8 E Class. I replayed from 1:24 over and over and over. That sound is heavenly!!!! I miss those days man how I miss it. From now on we're getting 4 cylinder 63 AMGs 😭. You can't even buy a non AMG 6 cylinder C Class or non AMG V8 E Class these days. I am so ANGRY with them! 😭😤 My heart aches for a W211 E500 but I can not find a single one in good condition. W211 is what made me a Mercedes fan for life and I think many others too.

This brings back great memories The E500 was my very first car and I LOVED it still to this day looks great and those interiors are timeless

Best V8 from Mercedes Benz.. M113 . Super reliable , good power and decent sound. Also the AMG engines are a blast to drive. My friend let me drove his E55 AMG M113 Supercharged and it was a special experience to drive that 2000s luxury sedan.

I just bought one yesterday and my god as a 17 year old I never had fun like this in a car in a long time, such a clean car from the exterior to the interior, sounds amazing especially with a custome exhaust or a straight pipe, for a low price it gets your from A to B fast as hell but also in great style, we also can’t ignore how this car was well ahead of its time and is still considered a high class luxury beast to me

Jimmy Leblanc a month into owing this car and my god the amount of speed and luxury this car has to offer, I got mine AWD so I can’t have as much fun but it’s still the most fun car I have bought yet and I had 2 cars, only problem with this car is that the Air Suspension isn’t that reliable, all 4 of my bags are completely aired out, I ordered the BC Coilovers for it along with 2 rear control arms but when I went to put it on they said that I would need to camber my car which is too much money for me to spend at 17 years old right now, also to put them on is around 1k because of the hard labor and they have to trick the computer into thinking the Air Suspension is still on, I’m selling this car in 2 days and I’m going to a dealer to get something just as fun but more reliable and easier on my bank account to maintain, I don’t mind the amount of money I have to spend on gas because that V8 is just too good! But something as simple as an oil change they charge me $178 when I could have just done it myself but hey that’s maintaining a Mercedes for you right there 😂, also the insurance on that car for my age is beyond what I could’ve imagined but I don’t mind it either, any cars that you recommend?

@@NokiaHumanForm yeah, I sold it and got a 2015 Infiniti Q50 3.7 Premium, that car is way too much fun and with a simple muffler delete the sound was amazing, but on March 27th 2021 an old lady ran a stop sign and ran me into a street pole and totaled my car, my airbags didn’t deploy and my head hit the steering wheel so I’m going to sue twice, videos on my car before the accidents And when the accident happens will drop soon, I’m currently fine just shaken up still til this day but I’ll be alright, I miss my VQ tho 😪, Ik also waiting on insurance right now for my settlement so I’m going through my physical therapy. I only owned it for 2 months man life is crazy.

I had one of these and drove it for years and absolutely LOVED it. Just get ready for the expensive maintenance on suspension, gear box and braking systems.

So ein genialer Wagen! Diese älteren Reihen haben noch diese elitäre Eleganz, die den heutigen Modellen leider fehlt, da sie mehr auf Sport getrimmt sind. Das ist OK, aber die älteren Modelle sind wirklich "Mercedes". Vor allem der Stern vorne, der muss einfach sein. Auch etwas, was mir heute fehlt. Danke für das Video!

Yes, that would've been horrendous if it happened. But I have raced cars 35 Years of age on the original brake system on the track & have never had a failure besides the normal heat soak.

I have the exact same car! 2002 E500. It was so advanced for its time and still feels modern. The engine can be a pussy cat or a tiger - it all depends on how you drive it. How's it been for maintenance? I'm long listing the Estate. To haul bicycles, sleep inside at times and do mega trips across Europe, all corners of it and a bit into Russia.

I used to have one of these years ago and it was a great car. Finally traded it in for a new W212 facelifft. These engines are bullet proof if you take care of them. Lots of power. Same engine as the W220 S-Class S500 btw, and even in the bigger car it pulls really well. If you are looking for one, get a good one while you can. W211 was a good car and still is. Cheers

Fantastic cars. This 2002 is a 5-speed; from 2003 they introduced the 7-speed on the E500 with closer ratios and a higher top-end, in 7th gear 250kph is less than 4,000 RPM.

I can confirm, and behavior of this 7G-tronic is perfect for that year of production. In comparision of 2001 BMW e38 750i with ZF 5 speed, and BMW e65 745i with E500T... MB was far ahead with that

@@kj8491 I heard the same. But un my case is everything working OK. Hope it will work for long time. I made on that only around 30k km, with only oil change. Currently is on odometer 290k km, still maximal comfort ans smoothness. On the other hand e38 has 440k km, transmission rebuilt was done by previous owner and smoothness is not good (but much better than on my previous e38 730i)

nope. It is a 7 Gear. The 5 Gear Ratio could not drive 250 in the 4th Gear. The 5 Gear was passed the 5th by 240 at 6000 rpm

A3 Aschaffenburg towards Würzburg, newly expanded, 100km new surface at no speed limit almost throughout and constantly 3-4 lanes, such a joy to drive since all road works and construction sides are gone since 2019, driving there very often 🥳

I have the 2003 E500 W211 , same Silver , it's a great Mercedes for sure!

Even though the M113 isn't as powerful as the M273 which replaced it (306 vs 388 hp), I still prefer the older engine. I'm a bigger fan of the older generations, like the W124 and even the W210, but I also like the W211. 😁

The W123, W124 & W211 remain my favorite E-Class generations, while the E500 has always been a dream car for me with its understated looks and potent performance. Regrettably, I have yet to own a V8 Mercedes even if the performance of my current E400 leaves very little to be desired. Thanks for posting this video.

theres 2 types of drivers you have to be EXTREMELY wary of on the autobahn. women (call me a mysoginist idgaf) and sprinter van drivers. one always drives on the speedlane going 10 below the limit and doesnt understand what exactly you want from them if you start honking while the other thinks hes driving a regular car with 200+ hp. also both of them literally do not have side or back mirrors in their car or at least if they do have them they would never use them.

Well the mercedes guy was way behind when the van started the overtake. Driving at 240km/h with 2 trucks blocking the highway. Mercedes guy was totally at fault there.

@@paulomoniz7326 it seems you dont regularly drive on the autobahn. the van was 100% at fault here. you always assume that the guy on the left will drive with 200+ kmh and you must always consider that before doing a lane change, especially if youre driving a fucking sprinter van. hell when im going 200+ and im in the middle lane i still check my mirror since theres people going 300+

2:50 wieder so typisch , einer ist auf der überholspur mit 250 km/h und der spinner aus dem transporter ist wieder zu verpeilt in den rückspiegel zu schauen. solchen leuten gehört der führerschein entzogen . trotzdem tolles video und guter fahrer . LG

Hat wahrscheinlich auf den Rueckspegel geschaut, aber in einer unaufmerksamer Weise. So ungefaer wie: 1) Hmm, wechsle Mal den Radio Sender...Heino mag ich nicht mehr so. 2) Schaue Mal in den Rueckspeigel: ja da ist ja nichts. 3) Hat's noch Kola in meiner Flasche? Scheisse, ist lehr! :( 4) Tue Mal den Blinker an... 5) Ich sollte bei der naeschten Tankstelle unbedingt mehr BiFi kaufen. 6) Schon wieder Heino auf dem Radio??? Dass. Giebt's. Doch. Nicht!!!! 7) SWF3, ja, der ist besser... 8) Sollte bei der naechsten Tankstelle auch auf's Kloh gehen. Ja, zwingend! 9) Na ja, dann mal auf die Ueberholspur.....bei 130 km/h.....

I have heard that the 02-06 E 500 engines and transmissions are bullet proof. Something incredible for MB.

I had a 320 cdi back in the day (2005). Bought it new and still today I regret selling it. The level of comfort, handling and security was way ahead its competitors. The electronic breaking sbc was stunning. I own the current generation E300d and even today this one doesn't have features that the w211 had. For example, the interior lights will not lighten up when you open the doors during daylight. It seems logical but never saw another car doing it. The construction was perfect. Not a single gap between panels or hard plastics inside.

The most CRAZIEST NON-AMG W211 ever made.

Guck mal genauer hin, dem Sprinter wurde selbst in die Spur gezogen, würde man jedoch etwas vorausschauender fahren, hätte man die Situation er ahnen können, wenn schon 2 LKW neben einander fahren.

Sprinterfahrer sind glaube ich für unsere Gesellschaft wichtiger als solche, die mit alten Autos ihren Geschwindigkeitsrausch ausleben.

@@heikobiehler9587 ja und haben dennoch kein Recht einfach rauszuziehen. Das sind die Idioten dann ,die ein Tempolimit wollen. Gut, ich meine wer so wie hier der Fahrer 240 fährt und vor ihm ein Elefantenrennen sieht, der ist einfach dumm aber der Sprinterfahrer war auch naja

@@181Cade it's the unrestricted part of the Autobahn, the driver should expect people to be driving at very fast speeds in the extreme left lane. SMH

Schönes Video, der Wagen schaltet die Gänge sauber durch und schiebt ordentlich von unten raus. Nur schade, dass er von Werk aus so verhalten klingt. Ansaugung sowie auch Abgasstrang bearbeiten bewirkt Wunder 😉👍🏻

the best car all the time. With 4matic more better. Endless power, 460nm, 306 hp, 5.0 v8 vmax open: 280 km/ h, 0-100 in 6 sec Airmatik, cruising with 250 no problem. Accleration is true like a V8. Not a small engine with 4 or 6 cylinder and 2 or more turbocharger.
