Yes I've got a W211 320 CDI 3.2 straight six and it is a really nice looking car inside and out. Very nice to drive too. I'd still probably prefer a W210 or a W124 though.

My dad had one of these between 2008 and 2013 and I'm still absolutely in love with this car!!! Amazing! That sound... unmatched! And a very comfortable high speed cruiser! The only thing that comes close these days is the BMW 330d or 340d with its R6 diesel...

Our family has a e320 sport package so it's very fun on the motorway/highway and its a nice cruiser as the sport package has nicer seats sportier from diffuser and we love it when we go on holiday from UK to poland

To start the engine needs only one click with the Key, you don't have to hold it.

I have the E320 cdi sport model from 2009. Comfortable and quick when you need it to be. I keep it well maintained, and so far it’s been very reliable. I’m very happy with the car. I don’t see myself replacing it any time soon.

@@ayax2134 Change the PCV valve every 50k or so, it's the one source of multiple issues with the V6 diesel. Closing in on 400k on mine, still purrs.

W211 is the best new Mercedes. I have E280 CDI 2008, with OM642 3.0 V6 diesel, Avantgarde. I have had never DPF and it´s chipped now. 272hp and 640nm :)

I was fan of japanese cars before... And now after i bought a silver w211 with 2.1 diesel engine (tuned to 200hp). Straight piped (i know its strange) dobbel not stock exhaust with 2 spoilers and not stock lights, not stock front bamper and bamper i really want to say that i dont know why people buy japanese cars. They are popular just because of tuning, but you can do the same on german cars

You need to keep an eye on the SBC brake, airmatic and check everything electronic. Gearbox is indestructable and the straight 6 engine too. (Mine blew up at 340k km tho)

i've got one with pretty much exact same specs in avantgarde trim. Air suspension,heated and cooled seats ,front electric and memory seats ,sat nav ,logic 7 sound etc .Had it for almost 2 years now.Great engine ,that's for sure .No problems with it so far,just regular oil service .the car has 190k miles (300k km) and still goes well.the air suspension it's really nice.What to look at ?The gearbox ,as sometimes it can judder ,wich can be the torque converter,pretty expensive new,and also the SBC on these models.Great braking system,but you need to be aware that it will fail at some point sooner or later,and that's not cheap .Other than that this engine wil make you think it will go for a lifetime.And being the L6 engine is pretty economic .over the last 20k miles (~ 30k km) the overall fuel consumption is ~ 7.4 l/100 km ( 60-70 % motorway,30-40 % city driving).

@@Marius0189 so the SBC will always go bad even if it has been replaced? I am in the process of buying a 2004 W211 with 53000kms, quite fresh but the SBC was replaced before the car was shipped to Japan (from Germany) It has a 2006 SBC apparently replaced with the "recall".

@@jamesndemera975 I’m afraid so .From what I know the SBC was like a consumable ,presumably failing at about 300 000 pedal presses .Now ,I found this number on the internet so I’m not sure it’s exactly that number .Mercedes indeed replaced quite a few of these back then ,but not sure if it replaced them with “non failing ones”.Anyway,they say that before failing you will get a warning message about brake service and you will have time to check it.In my case ,I have a 2004 model as well with nearly 194k miles (~310k km) and I have no idea if it s been replaced to be honest .I’ve got the car at around 150k miles.But if you found one with only 53k km I bet you will drive it for a long time without worrying about the SBC ,unless it turns out to be a faulty unit .

@@Marius0189 with SBC there was a (expensive) problem when these cars were relatively new. Today you can regenerate the SBC and it costs about 400 - 500 euro (Europe - Poland), and the impressions of having such a car are unforgettable ... especially with this engine and Arimatic :)

we have the same w211 e320 but a 2004 model. I don't know why you have it written down as 204hp. When we took ours to shop it got 220hp so I belive yours should have a bit more

Are two modifications of w211 e320cdi: R6 - 204hp and V6 - 224hp...i suppose yours is a more powerfull V6 This one is R6 204hp

I think the inline 5 cylinder 270cdi engine sounds a little better. Both sound good for though for diesel.

Actually is the handbrake....if you don't put it on, your gearbox will stay under pressure! and that's reduce the life of your gearbox!

To be sure when you leave it on park it doesn't reduce gearbox life (atleast with 5g), but it does reduces when you leave it uphill or downhill that's why theres handbrake for a reason in it, if you leave without handbrake on (uphill downhill) it will grind the shit out of your gearbox

I have a 2005 E320 CDI and I believe the US cars are quicker (0 to 60) but have less top speed because the rear ends are geared lower in the US. I don't think my car could hit those speeds shown in the video.

@@ikbalkhan7535 i don't know brother, i had drove it for not even 100km before it broke. The guy who sold it to me said his wife mainly drove it, so maybe because she didnt warm up the turbo before driving or didnt cool it down before so she fucked it up over time. Engine had 340.000km Now i got a 155.000km Engine in it for 1400€ with a new turbo and oil cooler and the workshop charged me 2880€ for installing the engine and new turbo and oil cooler along with new tires and 2 batteries

@@bigsleez8655 oh so bad maintenance, and you got unlucky 😂, you need to let the turbo heat up a bit before driving, and let it cool before turning off, always be up to date with the fluids and be gentle on the gearbox (no slamming on the gas)

@@fkykas If you mean 525d 145kw version (which is technically 3.0d but just called 525d) then yes, very similar to e320. But if it's 130kw 525d which I have myself, then e320 is noticeably faster.
