Personally, I would have just ran the old one -- and kept this one safe for a backup. That's a sweet car though. I bought an Acura MDX in 2019, 3 rows of heated leather seats, moon roof, heated mirrors, navigation/ rear camera -- which are common now, but back then that was unheard of; It's AWD, duel climate COLD ac.. Super cold/ and the fan blows your hair back. Only 155k miles, zero rust, zero dents and absolutely zero leaks anywhere on this thing-- which shocked me. I crawled all over it and it's very clean underneath- not a drip of oil anywhere on it.. And they must have just recently put new tires on it -- because they were 90 to 95% new.. And I only paid $1700. lol.. I absolutely stole this thing-- it's such a good car. The interior looks just like this Mercedes in the video.... I don't have that diesel engine, but It's a 3.5L Honda Vtec, which are pretty legendary in their own right.. It's crazy what deals are out there if you just keep looking all the time. Here in Europe, Mercedes, BMW and AUDI, among with some italian and UK branded cars, are committed to be the best premium cars globally. I refuse it. I am a mechanic working for Mercedes-Benz here in Austria and I bought my car new back in 2008. The most important thing is regularly maintaining your car. Mine gets an oil change every 10,000-12,000 km. By doing this, you ensure that the oil doesn't degrade or dilute with diesel. I wish you many more happy miles with your car.

So nice to find someone who's interested in real world stuff, such as gas mileage and is, like me, a fan of Diesels. A long term gas mileage monitor would be far more interesting than a one off journey. I got 47.2mpg from my normally aspirated Peugeot 405 XUD wagon over 105,000miles in the 11years I owned it

Excellent video presentation !!!! You are a very talented mechanic/person and tell a good story without a lot of filler crap that most YTubers add. What do you think the new and improved Mercedes is now worth after all of your worthwhile changes? Thanks ! Edit: I also REALLY like the fact you don’t beg for likes and subs !! Thank You !

@@WaldosWorld looks like you didn't prime/purge the oil circuit. The best practice is to replace the oil cooler, and then crank the engine several times without the injectors installed (no crank load). There is a high likelihood of the new engine spinning the rear rod and main bearings, but you might have been lucky that the engine didn't start on the first time.

I really enjoyed your video I have a 2012 S350 with basically the same engine. I love those engines and i have put many miles on mine. These cars are unbelievably strong if you maintain them. Many problems that these cars have are not because they are bad cars. The problem frequently is that these cars end up in the hands of bad owners.

Definitely do a MPG challenge with it, with your videos I have started looking into a CDI Mercedes myself. My second vote goes to putting on some type of a tune to make crazy torque.

Great job, I'm really glad you decided to put the Diamond Blue E320 back on the road. One of my favorite colors. One word of commentary on your lift. Please make sure it is anchored correctly. I had a friend that the anchor bolts pulled out of the concrete . The vehicle on the lift was totaled. Luckily no one was hurt. Cheers

Here in Europe is not uncommon to see this kind of cars hit the 1 million km mark on the odometer, specially as cabs (taxi owners). A friend of mine bought the exact same E320 second hand, in the same colour (looks gorgeous in the flesh), and he didn't mind the 600.000 km figure on the dashboard. The car was running flawlessly and the best was that the interior was incredibly well maintained.

Awesome video man, it's nice to see someone actually doing videos on the om642 v6, there's not many people out there who do much on these engines. Also a nice upgrade would be the elephant nose mod to the breather pipe(prevents oil seeping onto the swirl flap motor and causing failure)... straight piped these cars sound insane 😂(I'm running stage 3 boltons).... a tune ... also with vediamo change the throttle curve to kld2 and torque limits off and set to msg (this really wakes up the car ) you can also fool around with vmax and egr+cats off . The egr really fouls the intakes, I have no emissions on my car , 2014 C350 CDI . With vediamo you can always turn the emissions on for inspection and off after . All the best though, can't wait for the next video!👍🏻
