Menuhin Competition Geneva 2018 Documentary
The Menuhin Competition is the world’s leading international competition for young violinists, held every two years in a different world city, most recently in Geneva from 12-22 April 2018.
Prior to the Menuhin Competition Geneva 2018, the Competition was held in London in 2016 to celebrate the Menuhin centenary, Austin, Texas in 2014, Beijing in 2012 and Oslo in 2010. It attracts hundreds of entries from all corners of the globe, choosing only 44 of the world’s very best young violinists to participate. The Competition discovers, encourages and nurtures these exceptionally talented young musicians to develop into the next generation of great artists.
Thank you to all of our partners, jurors, competitors, musicians, supporters, host families, volunteers and everybody that contributed to making the Menuhin Competition Geneva 2018 such a success!

He didn't expect to win? What a humble kid :D
Did anyone notice Christian Li’s hand when he hold Chloe’s neck, this young boy’s index finger has a callus, and this made me cry, he must’ve practiced so much for this. He deserves the first place, well done young man, you’ll be the next generation’s violin maestro in no time!

23:51 his hand. Though I felt chloe's presence much humbling. Maybe christian just reminds me that he's a little selective, chloe has this natural constant happiness radiating from her.

Chloe and Christian won
18:28 WHOAA! The way they matched up the two “Summer”s is really cool!
Two set violin fans everywhere!
I discover that Diana Adamyan won the senior 1st Prize of the contest , and i am so glad for her ... She deserves so much ... Her violin is so human ! "The road from home" entirely resides in her music. God bless her.
Literally half of the footage was of Christian and Chloe - congrats again, you two! So excited for 2020 - thinking about entering.

I disagree and do not think that is accurate. Christian and Chloe did appear, but so did all of the other violinists. The winners, including the great Diana Adamyan, were given individual attention, and so were many of the other competitors. Nobody received an excessive amount of time in this film. The message coming from this superb documentary was that each participant was worthy and valued. Love was in the air, and so was respect. I believe that all of the organizers and judges tried their very best to let each of these terrific violinists have a wonderful time. ✨🌟🎶💕💞

Sorry, I'll change it if you want me to. I wonder why this came out so late though!

We're all entitled to our individual opinions! There's no reason for you to change what you said. You ask why the documentary was made available now and not earlier? Probably because of all the exacting work that went into producing such a beautiful film. Reducing many hours of experience into one short documentary must be very difficult.

Yeah, they did a great job! It was fascinating to see all the 'behind the scenes' stuff and the thoughts of the jury and sponsors.

This is a great celebration of music! I do hope you come to Southeast Asia soon. I'll definitely come and cheer you all!
I hope this competition will come to Salt Lake City, Utah in the future, to a community that's fully surrounded by music, by talented young people throughout and people who truly love and support the Arts. Please come to Salt Lake City, so we can watch these young talents in person.
Im now planing to join this competition
Очень приятно слушать и смотреть на юные даоования скрипачей, как они чувствуют музыку, это прекрасно🧚♀️
the opportunity to meet these young talents and the maestro acting as jurors is a very rare and precious one. Just how much one can learn from this opportunity?
Truly astounding.
When they compare Hina and Christian, along with other junior finalists playing the same piece, you can kind of see the difference between their playings. To me, I think Christian was more agressive and bold in his playing; he wasn't really afraid to express himself and he played to the max of his ability. Hina was a little more feminine in her approach, so I guess the judges liked Christian's interpretation and attitude towards the piece more.
I wish i can join this competition some day

Chloe wants to glorify her Heavenly Father, she says, so she is humble, even though she is a genius!
