@@countrymama2839 being non-religious myself and knowing many non-religious people, I don't find that is necessarily true for the majority. It's more that as a group, if we give an inch, others try to take a mile and try to get us to see "why we are wrong". It's not that we don't have interest in others beliefs and it's not that we look down on them, it's simply that we don't want our own beliefs attacked because they are still beliefs and we still have morals. I'm sure there are absolutely some non-religious people who are downright rude and disregarding, but I feel more often than not non-religious people are leaning on the side of caution and just keep to themselves.

@@livw8650 I agree! Both sides have understanding people who are willing to have the "you do you" attitude and both sides have the people who have the my way is the only way attitude. I will share my opinions if someone is open to them, but telling someone they're wrong isn't going to help anything. I have close friends who are non-believers and we can have great conversations about different opinions (not only religion).
I really appreciate your gentleness, humility, and Christlikeness in this video. I am not Mennonite, but I am a Christian… I’m a member of a Southern Baptist church. I think we honestly have far more in common than we have different as far as worldviews and lifestyles go. One thing I really love that you spoke about is the concept of aging. That is something that I feel our culture devalues so much. The Bible talks over and over again about the honor and inner beauty and wisdom that comes with age, and I honestly look forward to the wrinkles and the greying hair because that will mean that I’ve had the gift of getting to live life with the people I love, serving the Lord together. Of course there is that balance of still taking care of our bodies and practicing health and hygiene! But I’m thankful that I don’t have to feel that pressure or being tanned, toned, and twenty-five forever. Living as a Christian releases us from so many temporal and unnecessary things. 🤍 May the Lord bless you and yours, Megan!
I’m a lapsed Catholic (pretty non-religious), queer, divorced, highly progressive mama of twins. While I think we probably don’t align in many ways, I feel nothing but warmth, authenticity, and care from you. We probably couldn’t be more different but I’m sure we both love our children and do our best to be the best mothers we can to them ❤️

Those situations are to be cherished with the man you intend to share your life with and vise vers, Alot of people have already jumped into bed with several ppl before even being engaged to any of them and then when that relationship breaks down all the ppl feel is used and hurt as you gave the most precious thing way just like that. My favorite part of this video was when you talked of letting your light shine through. The way you explained that was beautiful!
Hi Megan! I am not religious, though I have studied and explored several different faiths, but I really enjoy your channel and this video in particular. You shine as someone who is truly Christ-like - compassionate and loving and open-minded. I love learning about the beliefs and cultures of others, especially when they present it with so much joy and love!
Thank you for the insight! Yes, would definitely love a video more about dating/courting and (physical) boundaries!

I would love to hear one on the dating aspect! I always find it so interesting to hear different perspectives. Especially now that my oldest child is 14.
Wow thank you so much for this video, I love how brave you are in attempting to answer some of the harder questions!

You are so humble. I am not Mennonite but love the values you believe in & how sweet you go about it. 💗💗
This is one of my favorite videos of yours! Thank you for sharing your heart and His light with the world.
Hi Meg. I’ve been watching your channel for almost 3 years now. You were so genuine and down to earth and wise beyond your years. I would love to listen to your story about purity and I’m also interested in hearing about shunning and the difficulty that families face as a result.
I enjoy all of your videos, especially your Q&As. My family lives a different way of life but I teach my kids that we need to learn about the world from different perspectives. You do a great job!
You are a shining light in this world! You’re videos always bring me joy, I love to hear about your way of life and how you are so respectful of others ways of life. I’m agnostic, but I learn a lot from you every video. Sending you love and light Megan!
It’s always interesting and enlightening to hear your perspective. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to the next one
Thank you so much for explaining your Mennonite lifestyle. I had so many questions that I was afraid to ask for fear of offending but I'm so glad you did the Q&A. God bless you and your family. P.S. Yes, please do a video on purity, it's not talk about much lately.
Preach, girl! Love it❤️ Praying for your family tonight.
What a wonderful thing to listen to on this Sunday. I wasn't able to stream live the usual service I participate in, but I am happy to listen to this instead. Happy Sunday. It's gorgeous outside.. I am in Philly
You explained separation very well .And yes preach the purity in dating 🤗 I’m a grandmother but I’m sure a lot of younger watch .
I live amongst quite a few Mennonites, and this has been so enlightening. Thank you for sharing your life!
What a sweet way to answer so many questions! Also, you handled describing your beliefs so CLEARLY and graciously. It's exactly what attracted me to you from the beginning. You are genuine and a bosom sister- although I'm not Mennonite, so much of what you say and HOW you say it could come right out of my own heart and how I've grown in maturity in Christ since becoming a "grown up" ha ha. I must be a Mennonite-hybrid in my heart. 🥰 And I'm so glad you shined light on snowflake babies because my sister in law adopted some and it's such a good thing to share! So many people just don't know about them!
Thank you for sharing this!! I’m LDS and I love listening to other Christians because we have so much to offer each other with our unique perspectives. 💖 Glad to have learned more about you!
Thank you for sharing and spending your time to make this. I appreciate your honesty and love for your culture and religion. I hope to raise my kids to be kind, generous and set apart as well. You are a wonderful mom and your kids will be amazing adults because they have you as a role model.
Love the shirt! I bought the pink one after I saw you where it in one of your last videos. Also your white skirt to go with it. Can't wait to wear them together! Thank you for this video. My son and his wife were 19 when they got married and I worried about it but he definitely was mature enough to be a husband and take care of her and then they didn't deal with the temptations they would have had they waited. I wish my husband and I had married sooner, even though I was 22.
You are very eloquent. I have a lot of similar beliefs to you but our lives are different. It’s nice to see! 💗
Thank you Megan for mentioning Daily grace co. with us, I had never heard of it before. My small group Bible study is going through the daughters of grace right now, and we just love it.
I definitely would love to hear you ya out healthy boundaries and purity while dating. Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us!
Yes we would love to hear about the boundaries on relationships. We are struggling with how to do that with our older kids.
Been following you for a while, find you so encouraging in motherhood. Even though my kids are now teenagers. Really loved how you talked about shining your light into the world! A great encouragement, as its something we do as a family. Also, would love to hear more about your purity culture and courting. As my twins are now entering this phase. And we do lean towards following more out fashioned. Keep up the great work you are doing
I’m a teenager and I grew up wearing jeans, long shorts, skirts, and dresses. I’ve never worn something that’s shows anything that should be covered. Basically everything you said, was how I was raised and whole heartedly agree with, except that I’m not a Mennonite! This year though, God has put it on my heart to wear more skirts and dresses. And yes, I have gotten comments about how cute they were (and some weird looks😝). To the people that ask why I wear skirts and dresses, I tell them that I want to be modest because it’s what God wants, which shares my faith. (I got most of the dresses and skirts from Inherit!) I think people are so used to seeing immodest dressed teenagers nowadays that the modest dressed teenagers stand out. So, I just wanted to thank you for the clothing inspiration, and your beautiful personality! You are a person that I look up to, as I approach adulthood. Thanks again!

God bless you. I wish I had been as mature as you are at your age. Your message is beautiful ❤ I'm 36 years old, and finally this year I've matured in my faith and dressing more modestly is one of the areas that our Lord convicted me of as well. I love how you you stated that dressing feminine and modest is an outward testiment of your faith. It's very different in our current culture, so it absolutely stands out in the best way. Blessings to you.

Wowwwwww this is so beautiful!! I always feel like I'm in the minority when I talk about the teen dress these days. The crop tops, and cleavage, off the shoulder tops, shorts that show their behind, I just don't understand why a young girl would want to be on display this way at that age. It makes me sad. But I feel so hopeful to see that there are young people like you who can see the value in not going along with that to fit in. You must be a really good kid. I hope you treasure that ability to think for yourself, if I had that at that time I may not have endured a life of addiction and bad choices starting in my teen years and changing the course of my entire life. That's such an important time stay strong and faithful, be careful of your choices and the people you surround yourself with!! You've got a bright future ahead ❤️❤️❤️
Kuddos to you for hitting those harder topics! You are a great example and light to all😊 I also played the mandolin growing up, not many people I talk to have! Love the outfit too, so pretty and fun!
You are so refreshing! Love your smile and laughter! Have to go back to the section regarding letting the light shine. It reminded me so much of my Mom. Her love of Our Lord shined so brightly. [I so miss her!!]
One of my favorite videos Megan!!! You did such a great job, I loved what you said about the narrow mindset!! I grew up Mennonite but not super conservative. My Dad worked with conservative Mennonites and Amish, and it was a hard reality to feel like my Dad’s bosses and families disapproved of us because we were not as conservative. Loved your overall dress!! Checking out Amazon now! :)
I love that you are so open and so informative, you educate without being offended or rude. I really find that is so important. I am apostolic and we too look “set apart” and I am first generation however my husbands family has been in the church for a very long time. I find myself getting a lot of questions from family and friends about why I do and perhaps look “different” and I think it’s so nice to have these wonderful and educational discussions where anything can be said and addressed with respect. Love that God Bless You and your family.
Thank you, thank you for answering so many questions!! I love how open you are in sharing your faith and culture. You are beautiful inside and out!
I love all your videos thank you for sharing...I would love to see more videos on what it would be like if someone wanted to visit a Mennonite church and what to expect. I feel so awkward visiting other churches just because you don’t know what to expect and you don’t know anyone there.
I’m LDS and a lot of the things you mentioned are similar in my faith, too. Pretty cool!
Megan, that was I think my favourite (sorry for the Canadian spelling…lol) Q&A that you’ve done. Firm in your belief but super respectful to others who may not share your views or values. Thank you for being vulnerable and being willing to break down information for us. May you and your family be richly blessed!💕
I would love hearing more about you’re culture and dating etc. And of course love day in the life etc!
Megan, I loved so much of what you said about Mennonite culture. I am Jewish and raised my children in a Chabad synagogue. The topics you addressed about being or bringing light into the world, modesty, head coverings, brotherhood/sisterhood, following the words in the Bible / Torah, daily worship, our inner being vs outer ( makeup, Botox ) etc. are very similar to how my family lives. I don’t wear makeup, taught my kids not to leave the house with dirty or torn clothes, only bought modest, age appropriate clothes, not frumpy, for my 4 kids, sent my girls to girls only camps, and my husband (29 years) and I love each other very much and have not worn wedding rings for 25 years. I enjoy your channel mostly because we have very similar values and I learn so much about your culture. There is something so special about women who are “women of valor- eshet chayil (proverbs 31 10-31) The more we know about others the more we can appreciate what is special and the less fear about what is unknown and misunderstood.
I love how open you are about everything including your culture, but through your own eyes not trying to answer for everyone. I just found you and have subscribed, I look forward to learning more from you.
