I'm a huge Dressel fan but Michael Andrew really deserved this I reckon. So happy for him.

Caeleb did amazingly, he was faster than he was last year, Michael just had a little better of a race. Caeleb’s fine. He’s got this. Just a few bumps along the way, he’s human we can’t forget that.

There aren't any 50s at pan pacs and only 1st place makes it to worlds for 50s. Rip Dressel 50 fly

MARLIN GOD get your facts straight. In the non freestyle 50s, The USA takes the winner of the 50 at Us nationals plus the guy who has the best time in the 100 event of that stroke between Nationals and Pan Pacs to the world championships in the 50 event. Dressel can still swim 50 fly at worlds next year

Samref Basder I don't know, even if PanPacs is not an important even in the olimpic cycle it is strange that he does not qualify for the most important even in long couse of the year, I don't remember that Phelps or Locthe misses this event.

Not that important to him? This is also a qualifier for the World Championships next year. He doesn’t make the Pan Pacs team, he may very well not make the WC team

Tapers and diet mean everything to these high caliber swimmers. Caeleb does not have the muscle he had before. Michael on the other hand has grown more muscle. It aint all about the hours you have done in the pool. Its also the power gained away from the pool. Remember, these are sprinters. Even ledecky and sun yang do power training off pool days.
