What's so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he had an uncanny ability to render the tragic and romantic nuances of the Urdu couplets with equal proficiency and consummate ease ! Agonies and ecstasies of life got fully reflected in his renditions, owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! He was just incredible, as an exponent of ghazal gayiki ! The illustrious career of the great Khan Saab spanning over almost six decades, as a singer of exceptional merit, will amply testify to this historical fact !

Amazing clip of Khan Saheb, this is a second version of Jal Bhi Chukay Pervanay in Aimen raag. I have a very old version which is very dear to me. I want to know who is the Tabla nawaz, doesn't sound like either Ustad Pir Baksh or Ustad Tari !! Thanks again
