u did it. u broke this press release down to its bare essentials.

It's rare to hear a squad where Justin is so pre-broken by the press release's content. Griffin and Travis just kept trying to inject goofs and gags as if to save their eldest brother from his own existential prison, but it's no use; this is the Squad that Munched Justin, and he's taking his brothers with him.

For some reason I love the way Griffin says "No, I'm here, I'm just challenged by it." around 1:37 It's so earnest and serious, it's like I can imagine him just sitting there with his brow furrowed with that Griffin look of consternation as he summons the resolve to keep listening to this bad bad press release.

I'm so glad this was isolated, this bit had me in stitches

I come back here once every few days, this is my emotional support insanity spiral

I dunno, that bemused squawk at 2:43 is pretty good.

My best friend has this video memorized and she rewatches it constantly. She'll probably see this comment at some point. Hi brosca I love you and your ability to quote this entire video from memory both impresses and frightens me

having to hear that press release was the worst thing to happen to me lately but having the brothers riff on it soothed my pain

My favourite bit of this is both Travis and Griffin mishearing ‘stanning’ for ‘standing’ which actually makes more sense in the context in a weird way

The album is actually amazing. "Foolish" is an absolute JAM, but everytime I hear it I just know that "it slaps so hard I'll be stanning for days"

This segment is a better promotion for the album than the press release itself

I have to listen to this every time it’s recommend bc it’s just too wild to skip. Unfortunately “Billboard was wet for all the ways” lives rent free in my head, but it’s my burden to bare for such a funny non-munch squad.

I've heard this bit a bunch of times, but I don't know that I've ever considered the possibility that someone had to pass it up the chain so the author could get the green light to represent Billboard by saying it was wet for All the Ways.

This has equal but opposite energy energy to Ben Shapiro reading the lyrics of WAP

I hate when professionals write like this. It’s like the more they try hard to be cool and mainstream the worse they sound because they don’t know how to use the slang. They know the semantics, but not the pragmatics. Recent modern slang is oriented around conveying a lot of subtle information in a few words. (I.e. “wig snatched” = that’s really impressive in terms of beauty, performance, or artistic skill). That’s mostly because it develops on twitter where there’s a low character limit. It’s made to be used exclusively in single-sentence expressions of opinion. That’s why you use it to write a literal, real-world professional press release. Anyway, buzzfeed, cosmo, take notes.
