VIDEO IDEA: can you PLEASE make a video reacting to your subscribers cages?? I was watching the last one and I really want you to see mine!

It took me a while to get my chins to jump into my lap from their cage. Training them with unflavored oatmeal helps. Chinchillas in Hawaii have adapted to somewhat higher temperatures but I keep the humidity in check with an AC.

@@Solomon0424 same as normal ones. 60 to 69 degrees Fahrenheit. They do adapt a little more to the humidity there but overheating is still a huge danger 💕

your chinchillas are adorable I have one of my own his name is MInchino and he is 7 months old I finally got him after begging my dad its a good thing he agreed because the cage he was kept in was so small and there where two other chinchillas in there with him I hope they finally got adopted and don't have to live in that small cage

i was also wondering the best brand of ledges and how many i should put in both floors of the cage (btw i’m probably getting the same cage as you and when i saw it, it had kind of slanted flat stairs but yours didn’t, is it able to come out of the cage?) thank you

I make my own ledges or you can get some off AZ Chinchillas. Etsy also has some wooden ledges you can try, although I’ve never ordered off there. You should add as many ledges as you can for them to be able to jump around well💕 there are ramps that come with the cage but I chose to take them out, they’re easily movable 💕

Yes I got mine 7 months ago. When I went anywhere near him he he would make the weird noise. He still hates me touching his back. The solution is to make sure your chin trusts you enough. When they do, they will run away but the noise should stop!

Can you do a video on how you keep your house from smelling like chinchilla? Or how often to wash the dirty fleece or where you store the dirty fleece? Use any air freshener attached to dirty hamper?? Do you use a special hamper? Because my apartment smells like “chinchilla” (what my guest say) but I can’t smell it. I am a pretty new chinchilla owner.

I have a video on How To Use Fleece Bedding With Chinchillas and it’s pretty recent. I wash the fleece once a week or every 5 days depending on how concentrated the pee is (they often pee in the same place over and over again lol) I take the fleece off the pan and immediately wash it so I don’t have hamper or anything. 💕

Does anyone have any other facts about them like how many times you have to clean there cage or if there fine with loud noise?

You have to clean their cages daily as far as sweeping up poop and dirty hay. But you change out the bedding and deep clean about once a week or every 5 day’s. Chinchillas can get used to loud noises like vacuums but I wouldn’t ever have a loud noise or loud music on for very long since their ears are sensitive💕

Merlin looks like a smaller version of one of my chins ♥ I saw your video on the fleece liner, and had a question-figured I'd post here though because it is a newer video. How the heck do you keep them from chewing the fleece?! I know you said yours doesn't really try. Mine chew anything they can get their teeth on, so I'm not sure about the fleece, but kind of want to try. Thanks! :)

Fleece isn’t very attractive to most chinnies since it’s not hard for their teeth. So you could try making them a small pillow out of fleece and see how they react to it. Even if they show some curiosity towards the liners by nibbling a little bit, they might become uninterested after a while 💕

A fan just circulates hot hair around, creating a draft that we may think is cold air but isn’t. Chinchillas don’t need drafts, they need AC to not overheat 💕

Hi everybody, I actually, 5 months ago, got two Male Chinchillas and their names are Mr.Turnip & Mr.Radish. they are both 2, but we have no idea if they are brothers. I was wondering if someone could help me in figuring this out by telling me if it's possible. They are 3 months apart. They are standard grey. Is it possible for them to be brothers or are they just cuddling buddies?

Am I the only one who has a Chinchilla that's sleeps in weird positions. You have no idea how many miny heart attacks I had because I thought it was dead and to just find out its sleeping. I swear my chinchilla is crazy.

1) They bath in special dust, u can search up chinchilla dust on ebay or amazon, never put them in water.

2) they cant eat anything fresh, they eat dried leaves and herbs, chinchilla pellet and need a constant supply of hay.

4) they need a big cage, i recommend the critter nation model 162! also remeeber to let them out for play time, for about an hour every day!

5) if u want to hold ur chin, they need to gain ur trust. The first time u get it leave it for about a week to get used to its surrounding, other thaa giving it food. After, sit next to the cage and talk, but dont put ur hand in. They will get to know ur voice. Take it slow, but it will be worth the process!

In one country Lithuania 🇱🇹 chinchillas cost 20 to 40 euros in Ireland they cost 150 euros

It shows theyre threatened. Chinchillas do that when theyre scared, so maybe keep ur chin away from others if it does that! 😘

If you want a cuddly pet, get a guinea pig, I had three for five years, they love being held. Although I do prefer my chinchilla instead!

So I went to PetSmart today and was going to buy my dog some things...I saw A chinchilla in such a tiny cage with paper shavings and all the shaving were in his food the hay was all nasty and brown wasn’t even fresh, so much plastic in the cage it makes me so sad to see these poor creatures live like this, I just got rid of my chinchillas but it makes me want to just go buy another one and save them all from pet stores...I really wish pet stores would do research but obviously they don’t, maybe I can try to convince my parents to let me start saving these poor chinchillas from these horrific pet stores! 😩
